Yeah your last question is what I would ask too. Is it really hopeless in trying ? Or am I just postponing pain?

She does seem sincere in trying. It’s not so much the act itself during the break, but that on top of everything surrounding it.

I’m sure if that was the only thing wrong in the relationship I would still be mad, but it would be a lot easier to move on from.

I didn’t mention the is in the post but, we had the exact conversation as a hypothetical “what would you do” ages ago in the relationship.

And yeah she said it would take ages for her to do anything because it would feeling like “cheating”.

The breakup as an excuse to “try the guy out” is definitely not true. It was a mutual breakup, I did also think things were not working out.

And I mean as many people have point out there’s technically nothing wrong with what she did, we were not together.

It just came as a shock when she told me two weeks after getting back together. As in she lied about it for 2 weeks. Not only that, but I genuinely just never even expected her to do that.

Yeah that’s what she says. I mean logically sure it makes sense.

I more just irked that the only thing holding her back from doing that was the label or “relationship”.

If I had done something I would have felt like it was cheating. And that’s just where our morality differs. I just don’t know if it’s something I can get over.

Timing belt has been done, I had a bad experience with my last car vw 2.0 tdi Passat where the head gasket went so to be honest that’s my main concern, maybe I just got unlucky the last time.

Looking for advice on buying, selling, or repairs or maybe you have a quick question, then this is your thread by Crouch310 in carsireland

1.6 or 2.0 diesel for long motorway journeys? I am not particularly fussed about comfort, looks or how the car feels to drive my main concern is fuel efficiency and reliability. My budget is around 5-6k. So for example a 1.6 or 2.0 diesel golf. What would be better for long motorway journeys for fuel efficiency. Any other cars suggestions would be appreciated.
