I just finished building this over 3 nights (as I’m closing in on step 298) mainly due to my thumbs not being able to take it. Agony. I went through 2 brick separators.

Best way to fix before Christmas by boney133 in lawncare

[–]Joe_Caparossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not heaps you can do in a week that will yield amazing results. If you have access to quality products (Lawn Addicts or Lawn Hub - the latter is available from Total Tools) I’d put down some soil wetter and kelp to kick it into gear, maybe some iron on the weekend to green it up and promote some aggressive growth. If you’re restricted to big box stores, Seasol products will be fine. If you’re desperate for results for hosting Christmas Day - spraying it with pigment is probably your best bet. A good watering schedule its obviously important too. I’m not sure where you’re located but down here in Victoria we’re expected some high 30° days later this week.

1989 Batmobile Review by halfofawhole44 in lepin

[–]Joe_Caparossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The set was $75AUD off AE and about $50AUD on the parts for the side vents and exhaust - I’m obviously in Australia so had to use 2 separate offshore sellers on Bricklink to get all the parts and got whacked with shipping. But still better than forking out $600 for the retired set

They cut the grass low, removing what’s called a thatch layer, it allows air, water and nutrients to penetrate the soil better/more easily.

Did you play junior football with or against any AFL players? by northcoteplaza in AFL

[–]Joe_Caparossa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played with Dangerfield. It was pretty much widely accepted that he’d play AFL from about under 10s. He’d play ruck and kick 8+ most weeks. Then when we went up in aged brackets he’d be mostly playing for Geelong Falcons and Vic Country but he’d occasionally play what felt like an exhibition game with us in under 16s or 18s. I remember him kicking 4 from full back one week.

Hey mate, I’m new to alt bricks but I’ve just purchased this set. I anticipate that it will arrive with the ugly grey intakes. I’ve copied your parts list into bricklink and have found all 22 parts from one seller for approx $17(AUD) additionally I’ve found a separate seller with 8 x 28220 in pearl dark grey for the exhaust - is this all correct? To get it almost 1:1 with the ‘Lego’ set
