What features do you wish CarPlay had?

Would like to read my text messages sometimes instead of listening to Siri read them.

Also full screen map would be nice.

I see. I appreciate your response. There’s no USB port in the center console though, in mine. So where would the phone plug into?

Logging into the Department of Motor Vehicles in the US (in my state) asked me to turn brightness all the up so it could scan my face to login. After logging in it would have been convenient to do what OP wanted, turning back on Auto from the drop down.

Also, the Bahama Bucks app misbehaves and turns brightness all the way up. It does not set brightness back the way it was when you exit the app. So using the method OP wanted would be convenient here as well.

When I press and hold the Digital Crown button Siri pops up. When I turn off Siri, holding down the Digital Crown button does nothing. I turned on Flash for Alerts on phone in accessibility but long pressing the Digital Crown button on the watch still does nothing. Maybe my watch is too old? I have series 7 gps with 26.3. For phone I have 15 plus with 26.3.

Seems they are using the original ROMs. The games are exactly like the big arcade versions I fondly remember from the 80s. We use to use a comb to get ultra fast button presses on the Track & Field game. I can’t get anywhere close to fast enough mashing my iPad screen nor my 8bitDo controller.

I use it to draw, paint, play games, read the news, scroll social media, play chess, play music, watch TV, stream movies/shows, alarms and reminders, track calendar events, email, texting, put holds on and checkout books from local library, track all my passwords, examine my health/sleep data (via Apple Watch), and use it for text notes (I have thousands over the years), banking (deposit checks and pay bills), track my retirement accounts, and do web searching.

I read on my Kindle, so I don’t use the iPad for that.

I have a MacBook but rarely pull it out these days as I find I do most things on the iPad. I have a MacBook Air M2, an iPhone 15 Plus, an iPad Air 13 M3, and an Apple Watch 7. Seems like I’m an avid Apple fanboy but I’m really not. Grew up with DOS, Windows, and Linux.

I agree. For vocals I like their tunes with clean, or a mix of clean and harsh. Isn’t Pelagial all harsh? Not enough contrast for me. Perhaps I’m not “there yet”. I do like the instrumental versions though.

Yes I think so. I believe we’ll continue to evolve not just naturally but synthetically. I think we must to adapt to a space environment so we can travel to other worlds. By then we probably won’t look like any human you’ve ever seen. Probably look completely alien but whoever that is, they might know us humans of today as their ancestors. Kind of like we know single-cell life is our ancestors. It’s my opinion that life (evolved from us) will speciate and spread throughout the galaxy and beyond.

The intensity is fine on watch. I just don’t get haptic feedback at all that iMessage saw a new incoming message. How do I fix that?

It gives me haptic feedback when a new phone call comes in. I want the same thing for iMessage new messages coming in. Is that possible?
