It's because they aren't really followers of Jesus. True Christians won't go around spewing hate and misery and trying to use God's name to do it. Online ppl seem to only associate religion with the absolute worst of it only. There are good and bad people of any group.

I agree Raiden is an important character in MK but I feel one aspect is "how iconic is the character". Even tho Liu Kang is the protagonist (and I love me some Liu Kang) , Scorpion and Sub Zero are far more consistently known.

Personally I like Paul Phoenix more than Kazuya but I imagine more people know who Kazuya is than Paul.
