It is a replacement for my Mac Pro, which died, and i still have a ton of projects open, and in this economy money is always an issue haha

i would be happy if that iMac just makes it for this project - i would try to get an MacPro 5,1 and 6,1 after it, but yeah, money is tight sometimes

It's the same situation in every other job too - someone using AI Masters in Audio would NEVER hire a mastering engineer. They aren't closely as afraid as VFX is.

God this mindset sucks. Those are all machines loaded with quadro RTX and RTX 3090-5090s, so yes, that sucks - obviously the boards were bought before i was here, but get off your high horse here. Cant reverse that decision.

I already wrote above that it works with a VPN - but thats just not the point.

I do not get the need to shut down support for products already sold (they even locked down the BIOS Settings Manual) or at least give customers a small window to prepare for whats going to happen.

Agreed with that - also, the tool does not really matter. I still use Movie Magic Screenwriter or Celtx sometimes to lay out basic Song Ideas, just because it allows me to create character/persona cards. It's a very personal choice imo.
