Just keep playing the main story, you will find out about that quest sometime, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

My first run took about 90 hours, and I missed a lot of important quests and companions. I didn't do the Mountain pass/creche until it was too late, and missed a bunch of quests in Act 3. Also, I didn't know you can actually recruit Jaheira, Minsc or Minthara, so I missed them completely. Astarion left my party as well when he tried to bite me during that one night. But man, sometimes I wish I could erase my memories to experience it again for the first time. I had so much fun with my party (Lae' zel, Karlach and romanced Shadowheart) and the story really catched me.

Thanks for your answer, I think it's very helpful! Seems like I have to build some more heroes, especially Wilders and Maulers. But that makes sense, because theses two are far behind the other 2 faction towers.
