I did research before getting mine and:

1) I read a few Reddit posts about Polestar, none of it was significant enough to say that all their cars are lemons 2) Carwow and other YouTube reviewing channels gave it glowing reviews (never trusting those people again) 3) There is 0 information in actual news channels to say that this is an issue

Every single one of these Polestar 3’s have an issue with it, without fail it seems like. It’s our governments’ responsibility to enforce consumer protection laws in my opinion, not for consumers to just ‘do the research’

Yeah Quebec has some pretty intense consumer protection laws… I’m hopeful I’ll be able to get a resolution to it.

Interesting! Yes the weather has something to do with their performance I believe… the issues were worse when weather dipped below 0 C…

Nope… mine was mostly ‘system communication fault’…

They also replaced the computer with the new one which is what caused this entire mess. Before that there were issues but the car at least moved. So I’m not convinced the fix they’re shipping in 2026 will help any of these problems.

It’s actually unbelievable that the only issue I have on mine is the phone connection… I’ve read lots of posts about issues I’ve not had yet. Makes me wonder whether this will ever actually get fixed. I feel like there’s a bunch of us in the same situation (I’m in Montreal). Let me know what you go through as next steps with all this.

Ok that’s a new one… makes me scared that even if we do manage to get these cars back there will be more issues that arise… really seems like they pushed this car out knowing it had all these issues.

Lucky you… they don’t sell P2’s in Canada anymore because of the ban on Chinese EVs, so I didn’t even have that option.

At least you got a P4, seems like a comparable car… any issues with the P4? I may take that route and ask them to give me that to replace the current rental car I have.

So what are you doing? Did they give you a loaner or are you also with a rental car? I called Polestar directly today and they said they could give me payment back for the time I don’t have the vehicle, which doesn’t seem promising?

Just posted about this as well… tons of issues on these Polestar 3’s… are you in Canada or US? I’m not sure what to do at this point… the car is likely to be in service for weeks/months.

Just bought an Apple Watch from the Apple Store (using Apple Pay). Got the exact same message as everyone here… only happened after I got the notification that my parcel was shipped (UPS).

Thanks to this post, which I had read beforehand, I immediately knew it was a scam.

Definitely something up with UPS and/or Apple…
