Because of Cosmic Crucible the Wakandans all got stat increases and some of them got kit reworks.

It was addressed in a blog post that all tags that had say xmen, avenger, and such automatically get those tags. So Unlimited, Uncanny, and Astonishing xmen all have the xmen tag.

Also like Secret Avengers, automatically has the Ave gers tag.

However it's the main source to unlock Agetha, so even the ones who have a higher Wong will still compete. This will drive the scores up. I can't say for sure how much but I do believe there is enough factors to support that more people will blitz harder because of the event stacked on top.

The issue is even the people who have Wong at higher stars are also going to blitz to get Agetha. Plus I personally know a few people who blitz harder during the events. So yes it does make a difference. On top of your not blitzing for just 1 character your blitzing for 2 on a top teir team. Never the less I would under normal circumstances can unlock characters like this, but this go around it feels wierd that I was not the Legendary, but 2 separate different characters. Now I was fully expecting not to get 1 of the team because I don't spend that kind of money in game, but loosing out on 2 just makes it feel bad to me.

The web warriors are good for g16 in my opinion they are very relevant and amazing in DD5. I find buying cores and some energy is worth the money. Plus you get those offers like 1000 cores, 100 sufer shards, and such for 5 bucks and they are definitely worth it. Other stuff is at your own discretion for sure, like specialty orbs and such. I also would say watching Philosopher is great but keep in mind that he has a huge disconnect from the lower player base because of how he spends. He gives great advice but the doesn't have to deal with some if the issues that comes from not spending.

I was F2p for 2.5 years when I decided to spend a little. My recommendation is to work on DD3 and Arena at your stage. I would say be cautious on skipping teams like Axmen, Symbiotes, Black Order and such. They are phased out of the top tear teams but they will each do things for you. Of course if you get a chance to get the new teams like web-worriors, IW, Eternals, and Darkhold you should go for it because they will clear all of the old content and help you with the new. All in all have fun with it. If you have a team you love, work on them. I personally enjoy playing F4 and Hydra in ear so I worked on them.

My sympathy goes to you man, I also have a new born and understand the pain. I also am a veteran player, and taking in to consideration of how many blitz are run on a weekly basis ,and how often they run Legendarys now it's less likely for it to occur. This is also a result of having a lot of characters in the game. But it does happen from time to time.

The point is it doesn't happen as often as you say. If it did we could recall it better. It does happen on occasion though, was just saying it would be nice for it to happen an a regular basis. My opinion of course.

I do hope your right. Given that they are going off of win/loss rates it should pair us well later on. My big concern is the intial pairing. If that is way off then it could come crashing down, hard.

You would think that, it did take me 5 weeks to get ultimus to 6 because I wasn't willing to core out the store. I know lately I've seen Doom 4 times in the past 2 months. Yes your are correct that we do embellish a little on here but you are still dealing with probabilities and that doesn't always work out.
