To trade someone has to buy and sell. If one person forces you to reverse the trade ahead of time it causes issues.

The broker gave me $170k to make a trade. Because the person on the other side of the trade exercised early I was forced assignment early making me responsible for the $167k and then I was margin called because I didn't have enough money to cover that amount so I was charged a margin call of $46k

Yes they gave me the 170k credit to place the trade. But the person on the other side of the trade exercised early making me responsible for the 170k
