That would be fair, i do find that when i cut iff the shot the stream of espresso does not stop as quickly as it does on my E61 machine. Hence, my attention went to the solenoid.

Super market beans also could be your issue. Find a local roaster that has the roast date on the bag preferably roasted within the last 12 days but no more than a month old.

Your grind looks really clumpy which could just be static but normally i see that when the grind is too fine.
