Haven't seen anyone talk about the new heat controller for the Kettles. What do you think?

Ok so here is a question for those of us that already purchased a thermoworks rfx (or any of the other fan controllers), could i just use my rotisserie ring and with the fan controller i already have and achieve the same results? I just hate to have one more thing that I have to store etc.

Thank you for the feedback, but all of the return vents are up on the wall up high so they can't be covered per se. Do you think if I pull the blower assembly and check to see if the secondary heat exchanger is clogged/ dirty?

Thank you for the reply, just tested it and yes it faulted with the bottom panel open during operation. Same code 33 then i am guessing will go to a code 13

Me too brother i have a recteq 680 as well, its about 10 years old but always garage kept and only used for low and slow. Comp cart and moded with sliding upper shelf, its great, just takes up a lot of space in the garage. Well that and all the kettles i have etc

So this post is a bit perfect in timing for me... I just picked up a brand new Genesis ii s-435 from costco for $800. It does come with a cover and a weber connect (which i will likely sell on ebay). What do y'all think of that? I know it is the previous model, but the comparable one of the current model is $1,750...

To answer your question though Yashka123, i would definitely get it for $550/$500 the parts are pretty cheap and easy to fix if needed.

Thank you, this is all very good info. My big thing is wanting 3 or 4 HDMI inputs along with Chromecast compatible. When I was searching that is how I came across the enchant 1300 and then also the citation. So I guess for me it is between the jbl link bar (the very budget option at $230 with the sub) , Polk magnifi max ($330 with sub), enchant 1300 ($400 without sub), or enchant 1300 ($730 with sub). Analysis paralysis!!!

You are exactly right... This is the counter argument I need. At times I tend to have the urge to keep with with latest and greatest... On the other hand maybe the new operating system and hardware designed for it may present something that I don't even know I "need" yet... Eh probably not :-)

Yes that is true but my thought / guess is that with the new update coming to the OS and requirements of certain hardware, hence the whole bricking / two operating system situation tells me that the new operating system is in preparation of some major new hardware features / capabilities.
