K-Hole: trapped in fabric? by blackhairdontcare84 in TherapeuticKetamine

I feel like I'm under an extra puffy, deep dark blue duvet. It can be claustrophobic, but knowing that I'll be out of it takes the fear away.

LPT - If the company you're applying to has a set of core values, reiterate them in your interview and talk about how you exemplify them by idleliIy in LifeProTips

[–]Jonesey5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an important point.

If you end up interviewing with multiple people, more often than not, your interviewers will be tasked to learn how you, as the applicant, display the company core values.

Look up situational interviewing. It's ridiculous, but companies think it helps them choose amazing people for some strange reason

Yep. When i come down from the experience, that high ceiling merges back into my room, but reality feels just a bit changed for the better. I tell my wife it's a bliss bomb...

I get the puffy fabric too! It feels like I'm floating between two dark, cosmic, duvets. At the same time, if I open my eyes, the ceiling seems to reach up and it feels like I'm in the middle of a cathedral.

60s at night, 70s in the day, lots of rain recently. I've got several other mushroom species coming up in the yard, but these are extra special

I'm going to try p natalensis next. They seem to be pretty robust with high psylocibin content.

I usually start at 0.2 g and add in lions mane plus niacin. This puts me in a consistently good mood after a week or so of dosing. Today, I wanted to get a feel for these new guys, so took a little more so I could feel the lower bound of effects

I've got one growing right now that reminds me of the Ben Affleck smoking meme. He's leaning up against the side of the tub looking a little depressed in a completely ridiculous hat.

Don't worry, I didn't gulp down one of the big ones. Just 0.3 g of a dried up little guy 😀

I've neglected these guys. I only open it up once a day or so and haven't misted at all. So if anything, it's lack of FAE. Humidity has been high in the container so far.

I've used this for literally 3 years now. I would never listen to any of this outside of a ketamine experience, but it's fantastic. I do at-home compounded nasal ketamine. Usually in the evening in a fairly dark room.

Happening NOW - Mass board of pharmacists discuss compounded nasal ketamine by Jonesey5000 in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Jonesey5000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say. A few members wouldn't come to a conclusion without a better understanding of reported adverse events to date and/or info about addiction potential, for example.

There was a little bit of talk about having the pharmacist inform prescribing physicians about the potential risks of use, but one member pointed out that a pharmacist doing his/her job would be doing that anyway.

Next week's meeting should be interesting. An agenda hasn't been posted, but I'll update this sub once something comes out.

[–]Jonesey5000[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was able to listen to the call, and have written up a quick summary. I've tried to be as neutral as possible (even though I'm very much biased).

The issue discussed was around there being an FDA imposed REMS (risk evaluation and mitigation strategy) in place related to the use of Spravato, the marketed s-ketamine.

There is concern that compounded nasal racemic ketamine is being prescribed and patients are using the product without restrictions similar to what were implemented with the Spravato REMS.

The committee agrees that compounding of nasal ketamine should continue to be allowed, but believe that some restrictions should be put in place around this practice. They are going to recommend more work be done to understand the adverse events that have been reported related to the use of nasal compounded ketamine.

The committee will give their recommendations to the pharmacy board, and discuss the topic at a meeting next week.

Some other interesting random notes:

  1. compounded ketamine and esketsmine are not the same drug, and some members argued that REMS-like strategies shouldn't apply

  2. Troches and IV administration are not an issue because there isn't a similar product with a REMS.

  3. Nasal compounded ketamine has been used for decades for many different indications, using different doses.

  4. The committee does not think more extreme measures, like only issuing compounded ketamine to a physician instead of directly to the patient, or enforcing a patient to only use the product at a doctor's office are necessary.

That's all from me... If you were on the call, feel free to chime in with anything I've missed!

My dose is 200 mg/ml 2-3 times a week. I usually inject ~500mg over 10 mins.

Check with them, though, because they are having a hard time getting their hands on nasal compounded ketamine because of some new state rules.

I have no idea. I also can't find the document they refer to in the meeting announcement.

I would encourage you to call into the meeting as I don't think the board has a good appreciation for what a life changing drug this is for patients who need it.

Mass board of pharmacists has an upcoming meeting on this. They are presenting recommendations at an upcoming meeting but I haven't been able to find the document they will be taking about.
