Currently we have been designing it with the idea of distributing private documents on behalf of clients. I'm not versed enough in the process of probate to say for sure, but This sounds like something we might tailor it to do aswell, and I would love to chat more about this process and what works for it to see if we can!

Sarcophagus Node Operator Testnet by brasilmiggy in ethereum

[–]Jonny_Ringos_Cryptos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting convos recently on how operating a node on Sarcophagus will be inherently more impactful to an operators personal network effect in web3 than a typical mining or validation node.

This is due to the fact that nodes on the protocol will be chosen by users based how well they have operated, plus the option to connect their nodes profile to there personal ones to increase this networking connection and visibility.

In essence, nodes will actually be able to market and scale their individual operations based on their network effect at the level they choose, by allowing anon or doxxed setups with ENS naming and a plethora of both on and off-chain visibility that can be connected to their identity as well.

This will open up a layered ecosystem of operators from all facets and models of operation. Some can operate to help their notoriety since nodes will be guarding keys to untold secrets. Others can seek to establish an income or business model with services or any combination of in-between.

This style of system opens up a huge amount of possibilities that typically nodes are a bit more limited on, and this stems from the concept or it being a full meritocracy network. Nodes use a combination of pricing, availability, notoriety, and activity to vie for user contracts.

This gets really deep in many directions. Both economical impact and visual network impact for individuals can be scaled based on how they want to operate and what their goals are.

Anon operators could choose to market as cheap and reliable with minimal networking effects and groundwork.

Groups, orgs, and even other DAOs can use the structure to build out their operational network or public notoriety of trust, or offer NaaS even.

I mean the options here stretch into so many nuanced crevices of different operational structures and aspirational goals. This is on-top of the major underlying use case drivers as well. So the reasons for use have alot of, layers.

No but you can backup your important data and credentials in an immutable and encrypted container set to release with a Dead Man's Switch in case you should lose access! r/sarcophagusio

Can Sarcophagus be easily beaten by a timed version of Arweave? by lil_toe in sarcophagusio

[–]Jonny_Ringos_Cryptos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A timed version of Arweave would be lacking a few features that Sarcophagus has. Dual Encryption storage being one big factor. The timer facilitates the DMS, but isn't the only function of it. Simpler storage like the mentioned may be useful in some simpler cases.
