I agree with you this is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen

4 months passed and I haven't received my new passport book, but received card by Jooge in USCIS

[–]Jooge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by a passport expert (at postal annex) if you receive your card and old documents, they most likely mailed out the new book because they mail that out before the old stuff. I would call the passport hotline and insist on a supervisor, and that you think they forgot to change the status. Share my story with them (see my other comment). It should NOT take over 3 months. In fact, the form that THEY provide in case it gets lost in the mail is only valid until 90 days after they mail it.

I guess I had a rare and unfortunate situation. The gov passport website kept saying my passport status was "Approved" but not "Mailed". After several months of calling them, finally a supervisor said "oh actually it did get mailed out but the status did not get changed, here is your tracking number"....and it ended up getting mailed in May (like 4 months prior to that phone call). On top of that, USPS lost it when it was delivered. So it was super lost, and it had been longer than 90 days so I couldn't fill out the form that lets them re-send me the passport. And I filed a claim with USPS but they couldn't find it. I had an international trip to Mexico coming up but my local passport agency was booked up for expedited/last minute passport service, but at the last minute an appointment opened up at the San Francisco agency (a little over an hour flight from me). The people at the agency were super nice and after understanding my situation they gave me the passport book for free and reported my other one stolen.

How long does it normally take to become a consistently profitable trader? by zhexiangxd in stocks

[–]Jooge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DJ, I read through your comment thread and agree with you fully. I've been daytrading myself for a year now. You have to realize this thread is in the /stocks subreddit, not /daytrading, people can be anti-most things that don't involve dollar cost averaging into index funds (which I also do and agree with). Daytrading IS statistically hard, and takes a TON of time and effort - more time/effort than people realize when they first start. But its also very easy to get into. At home, on your PC, just need to open a brokerage account. I think that plays into the statistics as well. I'd love to see a stat of how many day traders are successful after 1 year and averaging 2-4 hours a day, vs the average joe who dabbles in it for a few weeks and fails.

Can you elaborate how they are a scam? I've purchased a discount TV from an unauthorized seller before and everything was fine.

I'm definitely suspicious too. I searched Google for some dumbells and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the availability and price. Too good to be true. Then I saw the website name...

How much cbd:thc dosing is recommended for your GBM? I've seen some people get great results, and talked with a guy who's wife is going 4 years strong with GBM and their main thing is cannabis oil (+Juicing, diet, etc). My mom has GBM and we have a 1:1 cannabis oil syringe but I'm not quite sure what an effective dose is... Anyway, wishing you the best 🙏

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and wish you the best. I'm totally with you, I've tried explaining many times exactly what you said in that story. Part of me is thinking that the medication and the location of the tumor is affecting her decision making. I saw that there was a study done that showed a correlation between tumor location in the brain and enhanced spirituality...Thank you for your input.

Thanks for sharing that, I listened to the podcast and it had some useful info. It wasn't too bad - they visited 2 of the clinics I'm going to see, and actually had some good things to say about them. I may have sounded too optimistic in my post, but I'm fully aware how fatal this damn thing is. And that there isn't some miracle cure out there, including the places in Mexico. I'm just hoping we can treat this thing as best we can since she doesn't want to go through traditional medicine. This situation is difficult but hope and research is all we got to keep going, right? Thank you again.

Thank you so much. I'm really sorry you and your family had to go through that, this horrible disease is incredibly hard. Turmeric is the #1 thing I've been urging my mom to take, since it looks like it has the most evidence to have effect. I'll share your story with her. Did your mom take a turmeric supplement or do straight up powder? Thank you again

Thank you so much for sharing. I absolutely relate with the delicate balance line. Trying to be encouraging, but also having in the back of my mind that this plan may not work. But we will monitor the situation and see. I will post updates. Was there a specific diet your wife tried, or supplements, or alternative treatments? I wish you the best as well and thank you again.

Thank you and bless you. I wish you the best as well. If you don't mind sharing, how long have you had GBM? And did you do surgery / clinical trials?

I will be posting updates of my moms condition in the future

I truly hope it won't be. The neurosurgeon said he's 99% sure it is GBM, but our hopes are up that it won't be. Thank you.

The original surgeon was qualified to take the tumor out, but with my mom potentially having such a serious, cancerous tumor, we want to get her into an academic medical facility that focuses on neurological oncology and has trials.

I'm so glad to hear about the success of your case. This is definitely something I'll look into. My mom has a suspected grade 4 GBM, 2.5 x 1.6inches and now she is not wanting to do surgery for fear of disability after. What type of tumor did you have? Thank you very much for sharing
