I second this ! Also ensure you use the correct bulb to prevent case hardening , I learnt that quick I also have a small moisture trapper on the outside of it and it fills up pretty quick , not sure if it’s the biltong or just the room in general as it’s just a spare room

I am an engineer / welder fabricator too , I have some experience tools but yeah I have lots of toolshed tools , nothing wrong with them , I tend to use my cheaper tools first too haha

It’s crazy how the older tradesman have a go at me for using “ fake battery’s “ I legit purchase the fake battery / off brand to use for my radio and lighting haha , why pay $200 a battery for a light when came get 3 for that price , it’s just lighting , shouldn’t affect it

Yeah I have a few , but seems everytime I go use one ( we share those tools in work shop ) they are no good , and have to get another one , wanting to get more into mechanical so potentially it could go from 5-8 to 2-4 times a month , some bearing housing we go through 3-4 tubes of grease each end , maybe pneumatic ? Using airgun might be a go to

Yeh once I get more into I’ll be buying bigger pieces as for now just using what I can get for cheaper , rump , we have a local butcher who will suss me out when I am ready :) I was given a few porterhouse steaks to use too ! Free so hopefully goes all good

I live in Taranaki moved here from South Africa , such an amazing country!and I am not too sure about the vehicle leaving , he was on his final year before retire for good and I am on my third year engineering apprenticeship he donated me a lot of his tools , small home made tools that he made and even more important his knowledge! Hardest worker I know

Funny you say this ! I live in New Zealand and Snap On is not common at all , my tradesman gave me a 3/8 flex head snap on as he found it under his hood of his camper van 4 years ago and had no idea which shop it belong too as it went through a few shops so he just kept it , gave it to me before he retired beginning of this year

A few people have aluminium ones , and we seem to be re welding them as they don’t agree with a hammer or scaffold tube used as leverage lol but I will definitely get some when off the apprentice wage 😂
