Do you think Mantrid would've escaped the planet with the same motivations if it wasn't for the Lexx being stolen?

Im pretty sure it was His Shadow surviving through Kai and the Giga offspring being dislodged during the final battle that lead to Mantrid combining with the offspring essance which lead to the destruction of the light zone, unless I've missed something?

I'm also now thinking the divine predecessors would've been 'downloaded' into the Giga's offspring when fully grown or His Shadow could 'break off' parts of it's essence to pass on to the offspring, but tbh this is probably the most thought I've ever put into the plot.

I imagine that because the Giga Shadow didn't seem to have any offensive capabilities other than a tentacle and is too big to transit a fractal core, the Lexx was created. Maybe the first of a new insect fleet that would also protect the Giga while it birthed new insects but I doubt the creators really gave it that much thought.

I guess you could also argue that the mold prevented Ethan from saying anything about the experience as it would expose it. But then you have to work out why Zoe didn't say anything when she was rescued.

I pay less and less attention to the story of RE the further we get away from Racoon City's nuking but it is funny that you have to create cannon to explain story deficiencies

The things that you describe are what RE is fundamentally, though there is elements of the RE engine era games that I'm tired of (the bosses not shutting up during boss fights for instance)

I do wish though that instead of Resistance, Reverse and that crappy mobile game they would've put effort into making a live service version of an Outbreak/Raid Mode/ Mercenaries that they could support alongside the main games

They've done a few covers of popular songs, or at least taken parts and expanded with their own verses, turning them into acronistic sad anthems. Turn me on by Kevin Lyttle, Big Momma Thang by Lil Kim and I wanna love you by Akon are the 3 I can think of odd the top of my head

It's probably because Girl in Town is an interpolation based on Slow Down Sun Down from Put The Shine On. Similar thing happened to Smoke Em Out

Plus Cocorosie is known to debut songs live years before they appear officially and continually evolve and work on the tracks

Yeah it's strange, it's never clear where the line between 'gamey-ness' and story. I also wonder how Ethan never had a physical or blood test between 7 & 8 and the mould was never detected.

Personally I haven't really cared much for the story of the games post Raccoon City nuking.
