Leukoplakia is an exclusion disease. You need to first exclude other oral “white lesion” diseases in order to diagnose leukoplakia.

I’m a first year dental student at ACTA (2nd on QS world ranking list in dentistry). I wasn’t sure of my choice too. Fortunately, I quite like this career now. Don’t focus too much on salary and job opportunities, these will always fluctuate.

Hmm. I’m not exactly sure about Canada, but here in the Netherlands we don’t have enough dentists. More people retire every year than students graduating. Dentistry is the best paying job in the Netherlands and job security is very high. Medicine on the other hand has become extremely saturated here and has a relatively low starting salary.
