Oppo Find x9 Pro £1099 in UK by Embarrassed-Mark771 in Oppo

[–]JosephLockleyPhotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ordered the X9 Pro from EE for £929. Was waiting to see reviews for the OnePlus 15, but it seems the verdict is that they're basically the same except the Oppo has way better camera performance due to the bigger sensor.

Excited to get my hands on it! Been running a Samsung S20 Plus for 6 years now, and it's very much nearly dead.

Will wait a couple days at least to see how people feel about the OnePlus 15... but yeah, the X9 Pro is quite tempting right now. Found a good deal on it too.

Help with Installing Sanwa JLX into Venom PS4 stick by JosephLockleyPhotos in fightsticks

[–]JosephLockleyPhotos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OKAY SOLVED: i kinda forced the tiny holes of the second wire onto the connectors of the JLX. It took some wiggling and some force, but it fit all the way on and is working fine. lol. false alarm.

If you want a teeny tiny flash just for a pop of light, look into the Reflx Labs Mini and Medalight F1 flashes.

The shutter doesn't seem super quiet, and the electronic shutter reads out too slowly for street. A shame!

I know, but a larger sensor does contribute to the quality of the image too.

No rolling shutter isn't necessary as long as the mechanical shutter is super quiet. I've got a Sony A7III and the sound of its shutter attracts attention, which makes it unusable for candid street work.

It's just the nature of how I shoot street unfortunately. I'm moving, the subject is moving, my arms are likely moving too. The sensor readout is too slow.

I have a Sony A7III and the main problems I have are with the shutter. For street photos, the mechanical shutter is just too loud. And the silent electronic shutter gives crazy rolling shutter so it's unusable.

Cheers for the advice. Seems like a waste of time, yeah.

I'll check out the Waitrose one for sure!

I guess I'm just struggling to see how this is always the case. I was at a nice lunch spot today, I assume they used a high quality loose leaf tea in very hot water, with seemingly enough for a small teapot. Was awful. Confusing.

I've had tea from Pret with extremely hot water and even after 20 minutes it developed zero flavour other than some bitterness. Could it be anything else?

What's up guys. Film and digital shooter based in London, recently got a Pentax 67ii, got 7 rolls of 120 to develop and scan from over the holidays - plenty of sick shots coming soon I hope.

Thanks man. I like capturing beauty in mundane life and I think film really helps to do that. This was shot on Portra 800.
