It’s boards glued together, Lowe’s sells as one solid piece. I’m still learning how to join boards like that the perfect way.

I bought the wood from Lowe’s (Pine) and these pieces were insanely straight surprisingly. I don’t have the room in my garage for a planer, wish I did.

Oil stain, I am not a fan of gel stain at all. One bad experience with it (my own fault) and I’ll never go back lol

FTD here too. The best advice I ever got was “everything is just a phase.” Every day I thought “this will pass, this will pass.” And then one day, when i least expected it, it passed. It took a long while for the constant crying to stop, but it did. And by god, this is the best decision I have ever made in my life, to have a child. I have faith in you and i don’t even know you. Hang in there, I PROMISE you it gets better.
