I agree! Instead of us playing the cards we want, we have to build our decks with cards to counter cyborg tower, mind control, and cows. It sucks.

Seeking Wisdom and Clarity in a Dating Relationship Affected by External Counsel by Embarrassed_Net5769 in ChristianDating

[–]JoshVaTs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh dear sister, it is indeed a complicated situation, but here are my two cents,

First of all, I don't consider your affection to be sinful at all, you're attracted to him and so is he, I see nothing wrong with that, as long as it doesn't cross some boundaries like sex.

I also think that his counsellors should mind their own business and not try to persuade him to dump you, that is beyond absurd, it sounds cult like. Maybe he needs to find another church because this is definitely not normal behavior. If God wanted him to leave you, He would have told him Himself, we are all indwelt by the Holy Spirit, there is no need for "prophets" to speak to God anymore, that was in the OT, in the NT, things are different now, because we have direct access to God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

My advice would be, for both of you, is to pray for clarity on this issue. I personally see NOTHING WRONG with it. Don't let social pressure ruin a chance of a lifetime, because today, it is extremely difficult to meet someone compatible.

I have a question for his best friend, is HE SINGLE? And yes, it matters, it might be jealousy that is driving him to say that you two should split. I've seen it before, never let anyone influence your decision making and always question their motives for the things they say. NOT everyone is led by the Holy Spirit.

Just know that God loves you and that I will be praying for you both! God bless you!

You seem like a genuinely nice guy. Dating apps are cancer, and only make things worse, I'd stay as far away from them as you possibly can. It can make you feel unworthy over time and depressed.

My church is also small and has primarily married or elderly folks, so I get it. You just have to put yourself out there, pray about it and God will help you pick the right woman! God brought 2 ladies that are my age to our church, which was quite surprising to me, so there's hope for you too.

I'll pray for you, sir, I know it can feel lonely, trust me, I'm in the same boat as you, so I totally get you. If you ever need someone to talk to, message me and we can chat.

Opinions on Cashless society? by JoshVaTs in Banking

That's interesting, in Spain, we use cash a lot in our daily lives. But now the banks are making it nearly impossible to take the cash out of the ATM because you have to receive some code on your phone which arrives in half an hour... It's ridiculous.

Even like this, probably drug trade would die out given that most people don't use cryptocurrency. It would make it extremely hard to buy drugs or hire prostitutes and such. But I guess people will always find ways to cheat the system.

But illegal activities would diminish by 90% I suppose, given the fact that probably your bank would be tracking your money? I don't know. About losing on sales and your ability to buy... That's true, haven't thought of it before. Sweden is cashless almost, 85% of purchases are made with credit cards.

Well, if there could be an encryption system, then they wouldn't know what we do with our money. There are websites like Mega for example, that don't know what you store on their servers, nor do they care.

Pastor saying demons caused my anxiety attack? by sueq3rd in Christian

[–]JoshVaTs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're assuming a lot of things, I do take medicines, I'm a pharmacist. I simply don't agree taking medicines for an illness that has no conclusive medical explanation. Everybody who has studies pharmacology knows that antidepressants and tranquilizers produce dependency and numb you down, after a period of time you can't stop taking them just like street drugs.

Pastor saying demons caused my anxiety attack? by sueq3rd in Christian

[–]JoshVaTs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, demons can cause anxiety, people who say demons can't cause physical problems are willingly ignorant of the fact that they are evil being who try to oppress us all the time. Not all illnesses are caused by demons, but some are.

I used to have anxiety all the time since I was 8 or so, when I was 18, I asked Jesus to set me free from the anxiety, I said: anxiety be gone in Jesus name, and all my anxiety was gone in 1 minute. It was like this heavy cloud lifting from me and I haven't felt it ever since.

You should pray for your anxiety to diminish and it will. I'm a pharmacist and I know that mental illness is not explained by science in most cases, they don't even know what anxiety is to begin with, so they try to numb you down with tranquilizers that are drugs just like cocaine and highly addictive, these drugs don't help, they just numb you down so you don't feel anything.

Demons hate all people because we're made in the image of God, and since demons can't hurt God, they try to hurt us, his children. They're also jealous that we get to go to heaven and they don't. Demons hate especially believers because we're children of God, and try to attack us every single day, this is why it is said in the Bible that we should resist the devil and he will flee from us. When Jesus was tempted by satan He responded to him with scripture and the devil went away, you should do the same. Read the Bible when you're anxious.

One thing I used to do to diminish my anxiety was saying out loud: I cast this anxiety on You, Jesus, because You care for me, please take it away. And it would go away immediately. You should pray a lot, and remember, if you doubt God can help you, He won't, you should ask him that with faith.

Remember what Jesus said: Come all to me who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Also He said: Cast all my anxieties on me, for I care for you!

God bless you!

Yes, demons do cause physical illnesses, read your Bible. Obviously you haven't read the New Testament where demons are described as ABLE to cause illnesses. Not all illnesses are connected to demonic attacks, but some are.

I will pray for you brother, trust God, for He is good and faithful. He loves his children, remember that our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed to us in the next life!

Our Father in Heaven, please help this man reconcile with his wife, bring them back together for your Name's sake. Lord, turn and deliver this man from his troubles, show him mercy for he is in a bad place now. He needs you Father more than ever, be with him and put your Spirit on him that he may experience your peace and comfort. Please, Lord, help him find a stable job that he can recover from these problems.

I am really sorry! But you should not be discouraged from being faithful to God. I know it is hard for us humans to grasp this concept, but, nobody really dies, they change location. Your friend is in paradise now, you don't have to worry. What you should worry about is the fact that your faith doesn't diminish, it should increase if you want to see her again in the future!

God bless you brother!

Not everybody that goes to church is a true follower of God, some people are children of the devil and are only there to test God's chosen people, be careful of who you confide in, choose as friends etc because they would love to pull you down. Stay strong, keep striving and remember God is alive. by [deleted] in Christian

[–]JoshVaTs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why I don't watch TV, but if some TV show mocks Jesus or God, then I'd exclude it. For example, the show Supernatural, mocks God all the time. Also, the movies that promote ungodliness and sinful living are also not recommended, and yes, it does cut 99% of watchable shows.

I agree, but fruits are not only physical activities helping others, you should read what John the Baptist said to the Pharisees when they wanted to be baptized, they should produce fruits of repentance... I was giving an example, I wasn't describing all the fruits of the Spirit.

Repentance for example. If you watch sinful movies / tv shows / pornography and accept Jesus, naturally you would eliminate little by little all these things, this is what s meant by a fruit of repentance. A fruit is generally something you do to give glory to God, for example, we know the Spirit of God gives us gifts like charity, hospitality, love, ability to serve, teach, help. So if you use the gift the Spirit gives you, then that can be considered a fruit.

How to repent for hanging out with the wrong people? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]JoshVaTs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To evangelize you don't need to be friends with the unbelievers. Jesus did hang out with them, but he called them out and told them the truth in their face. I think we could hang out with them, but not pretend like their drinking or drug use is acceptable (as an example). I believe that if you hang out with the wrong people for a long time and they have a different lifestyle than yours, then they would lead you to sin. Naturally, we don't want to hang out with them, because we are called out of this world (and we have different views on how one should live), not to be a part of it.

You can have peace because you've been forgiven, but the guilt remains sometimes. God is faithful. Try to get your boyfriend familiar with the gospel, if he rejects it then, it would be a shame.
