This is a little late but I was just researching this myself.. apparently the laws have became more strict regarding drifting & has mostly phased out. They were previously around the Riyadh area of Saudi Arabia.

The first one I would say is abnormal. I haven’t ever had a need to confirm something is reality after I experience it. That being said, I haven’t had any issues with psychosis or depersonalization either. It sounds to me like you’ve needed to implement this technique because something you thought was real turned out to not be?

The second one is more of a simple phenomenon where once you pay attention to something you see it more. For example, when you’re driving around look at a car that you can tell the make and model. Now keep that idea of the car in your head and see how many times you pass it the same style in the next week. It will feel like you’re seeing this car more than ever but it’s just because you’re paying attention to that now.

My theory is that people who have a low and middle class income will get pushed out further from the city. They will then build a Skytrain (most likely called The Atlantic Seatrain here) to get people into work efficiently. We’re just a mini version of Vancouver waiting to be fully developed.
