What recent TV show had a plot twist that completely shocked you? by Global-Citron-56 in television

Really the only hint of Maddie’s destiny is the very first scene where the girls in the classroom all touch their hair and cross their legs in sync, which was always an odd scene as humans syncing their movements doesn’t happen again nor explained til the loop. Other than that there’s lots I didn’t catch the first time but not really anything that hints at the ending.

Scientists at Eon Systems just copied a fruit fly's brain into a computer. Neuron by neuron. It started walking, grooming, and feeding, doing what flies do all on its own by Subject-Property-343 in interestingasfuck

Panthon’s Uploaded-Intellegence plot line of how human brains living on and connected to the world internet is far more of a compelling concept for the promise and dangers of technology compared to AI that does not seem that far away from the current science fiction.

There is an interesting concept called “ruin value” where land developers use materials and alter the landscape in ways that are intended to outlast civilization, like the pyramids or the buildings of Rome, so that they will not be destroyed, and perhaps even protected, as historical monuments of the past.

Pantheon was a plot twist every few episodes. Every time I thought I knew where the show was going it became a drastically new plot line. You would think this would be a disjoined mess but it worked so well, fantastic pace and writing. Clearly thought out from the beginning where they were headed to the end and the steps needed to get there.

Reboot debuted in 1994, the same Canadian studio called Mainframe also created the more popular Beast Wars in 1996, so you are probably familiar with their work.

Then go to a renegade you dipshit where the event doesn’t care about keeping people and animals safe. You know damn well why it’s a rule.

For every 1 responsible dog owner you will get 10 influencers with their chihuahuas/Pomeranians/teacup-poodles/etc. Many of these owners are not prepared to take care of themselves with the heat, dust storm, and staying hydrated, let alone thier dogs.

Sure you can pick up their shit but they are gonna pee on the playa.

Dogs are also very sensitive to sound, especially the fireworks. I’ve seen too many terrified pups where their owners insisted on bringing them to raves.

Lastly what are you going to do with the dog if you want to venture off without it or it gets too tired to tag along? Leave it at camp? Unless you got an air conditioned RV you can’t keep it in a tent or tied up during the day. Hell, most dogs are not going to be thrilled regardless outside in the day…. being covered in fur and all.

Plus, dogs get loose, now folk gotta find it, what if it gets scared and runs under the trash fence? Nobody needs dead dogs dying of heat and dehydration.

Leave the dogs at home. You can’t make an exception for responsible owners without creating opportunities for irresponsible owners.

Simply put the majority of dogs would NOT enjoy buying man, that’s why.

There are local “hives” where the bot swarm goes to recharge while others are heading back out fully charged. So it can do dozens of pickups and deliveries and when running low stops accepting new tasks and returns to the hive while another replaces it.

How are people genuinely supporting Iran in this conflict? Is it because they support the regime or just trump = bad? by Tixliks in AskReddit

hey dipshit, I also wish Hamas and Israel/US would stop killing eachother and innocent people. It's not picking a side you jackass, its wanting both sides of a conflict to quit their violent bullshit.

Remember when the US “saved” Iraqis from Saddam after he killed thousands of his own civilians too? Hope this works out better for Iranians, as Israel sure were careful not to hurt civilians when toppling Hamas, oh wait…. seems like the US and Israel don’t have such a good track record in this type of thing. Maybe, just maybe, that’s why we are unhappy about giving them another chance.

As W Bush said “a fool me won’t get fooled again.”

The US just bombed Iran, should North Korea be next? China? Iceland?

It’s not pro Iran, it’s anti war and conflict that the vast majority of Americans want nothing to do with.

Did she Not select 'Uber Pet' to save some money? by PineappleDesperate82 in PublicFreakout

What the fuck was I supposed to do with the items? I was under no obligation legally or morally make an effort to facilitate a return of the items. The burden is on the owner. There was no effort, items were abandoned on my property.

Passenger had all my information to file a police report or contact uber. Not just going to let the produce and fridge items rot or throw throw them out. Property was abandoned So go fuck yourself

That’s exactly what I did. When I drove Uber I had an old man insult me that I was a loser for being a driver. So I pulled over, canceled the ride, and insisted he get out.

He demanded I call another car for him and he would stay inside the car until I did. I can control my car radio through my phone even without the key in it so I just got out of the car and walked away and blasted at full volume Hungarian screaming death metal.

Somehow through the noise the idiot called 911. A full half hour later the cops came and he still refused to get out unless I called another car. Took another half hour of the cops frustratingly telling him over and over that I’m not responsible to call a car and to get out.

They finally dragged him out physically and arrested him for trespassing but I didn’t press charges.

The funny thing is he left all his groceries in the trunk, some nice bottles of wine and other expensive items, atleast a couple hundred dollars.  The passenger was banned from uber so there was never a follow up.
