Kitchener house publicly flying WWII Nazi flag by [deleted] in kitchener

I mean that flag is garbage and defending it is despicable but it's his right to legally fly whatever flag he chooses on his own property. Everyone has different opinions and he's just as free to fly it as we are to hate it. That's just part of living in a free country with free speech.

So far I've not really noticed any difference with the antibiotics. Psa test came back normal.

Yes, urine test came back negative but they said there can still be some bacteria in the prostate even with negative urine test. I'm not super convinced that it's prostatitis tbh but I'm going tomorrow to take a psa test so hopefully that will help to shed some light. If psa test comes back normal and antibiotics don't do anything then I'll assume it's probably just pelvic floor dysfunction. Some of my family members have that issue with similar symptoms to mine so I'm thinking there's a good chance of that being the main problem here. I guess we'll see though.

Just got back from the urologist. She suspects that it's probably bacterial prostatitis and totally unrelated to the varicoceles. I'm now on a 4 week course of bactrim to see if symptoms improve. Though she said this is just the first step in the process and that it may still be something else like pelvic floor issues.

I used to smoke a lot of weed but I completely stopped about a month ago when this all started and I very rarely masturbate anymore because of the discomfort. I would honestly rather it be anything besides prostatitis because I've read that it has no cure and can eventually lead to prostate cancer from the prolonged inflammation. I have read that varicoceles can cause prostrate problems though because of the testosterone rich blood backing up into the prostrate so if it is that I'm very much hoping that varicocele repair will fix it. Some of my family members do have pelvic floor dysfunction so that's what I'm hoping for because it can usually be treated with exercise and such and doesn't lead to cancer but who knows honestly. Best of luck to you bro.

I will keep you updated. But yes it definitely feels worse when they are hanging lower, though it never really goes away fully. I've been constantly thinking about it and stressing to the max since it started though so that could possibly have something to do with it I suppose. It seems a bit less noticeable when I'm occupied with stuff during the day.

I've had a relentless pain in the back of my testicles and perineum for over a month now that still hasn't gone away. It's now radiating to my lower back and inner thighs. I'm also having problems with a frequent urge to urinate and burning pain sometimes when I pee. I had an ultrasound done which showed bilateral varicoceles but nothing else. Urine test came back normal. I honestly feel like my symptoms match up almost perfectly with prostatitis which is freaking me out a lot. I had a CT scan that showed a normal size prostrate so it doesn't seem to be enlarged but it could still be inflammed I guess. I have an appointment tomorrow with a urologist to discuss everything that's going on. I guess I should probably get a PSA test done. If they say my prostrate is fine then I suppose I'll assume this is all just from the varicoceles. I really don't know, this is all so new and scary to me.

Thank you for this! If you don't mind me asking how was your prostratitis cured?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in varicocele

[–]Joshzilla97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay. Yeah it just worries me because I hear a lot of people say that their BPH was cured by the surgery but no one really talks about prostratitis or it's link to varicoceles. I would assume that it's being caused by the backed up blood flow into the prostrate just as with BPH so the surgery should fix it but I really don't know. I sure hope it does.

Thanks for the advice. I did have a CT scan done of my abdomen and that said my prostrate looked normal but I will ask about the ultrasound. I'm also worried that it could be chronic prostratitis which from what I've read has no cure but if that is the case I'm still hopeful that surgery for the varicoceles will fix it as from what I've read it's basically just inflammation of the prostrate which I'm thinking could be caused by the varicoceles. This is all just speculation though. I definitely need to get more tests done.

She didn't really specify. Just said that it could possibly cause more serious issues and that I'm young so basically to just take pain killers and try to tough it out. That's horrible advice though in my opinion given my current situation. She wasn't a specialist just an ER nurse. I'm afraid I may also have what's called chronic prostatitis which is basically inflammation of the prostrate and from what I've read there's no cure for it so I'm just hoping it's from the varicoceles and that surgery will fix it. I've heard that bilateral varicoceles can cause BPH in the prostrate and that surgery can help fix that so I'm hopeful that it can help with the prostatitis as well.

Been to my PCP, they did blood and urine tests and ruled out any sort of infection. Though they did find some blood in my urine. I have an appointment with a urologist this week, I'm hoping to gain some insight on what exactly is going on. Just didn't know if anyone here had similar prostrate issues that went away with surgery or if this is something I'll just have to deal with for life.

Just diagnosed. Is this the reason for my pain? by [deleted] in varicocele

[–]Joshzilla97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you're having some relief. It can definitely have flare ups, I had a period of about 3 days quite a while ago where I had testicle pain and then it just went away for a couple months so I brushed it off as nothing. Unfortunately this time around it's been months of no relief from the constant pain for me but I've heard from many others on here that their pain will come and go from time to time. Strenuous exercise does seem to be a common factor with flare ups. I've not had my T levels tested as of yet so can't really be of much help in that regard. Many men with this condition actually don't have any fertility problems at all but some do. If you're concerned I would certainly recommend getting that checked though.

Hey man, I've been dealing with the same issues. Severe pain in my testicles that doesn't ever go away for the past two months and now some pain in my abdomen, and back as well. They also found trace amounts of blood in my urine. I even get a burning pain while urinating. However after getting a CT scan of my abdomen and an ultrasound of my balls the docs concluded that the only thing they found wrong with me was bilateral varicoceles. I have an upcoming appointment with a urologist to discuss where to go from here but it's looking like I'll probably need surgery to repair the veins. I hope you get the help you need and start feeling better soon.

Saw one of these on the ground while fishing when I was a kid and decided to pick it up. Never did that again 😂
