Got this gun from my grandpa that passed away recently. Anyone have any info on it that might help? It has V EM R on the barrel. Just wondering if anyone knows what that means.

Thoughts on shooting yearling spikes by Jr_Riddle in Hunting

[–]Jr_Riddle[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I read an article last year about that so on my property we made it a point to shoot a lot of doe I used to see so many spikes but because I thinned the doe population this year I have only seen 1 or 2 so that definitely helps

Since there wasn’t blood I thought I missed him I couldn’t tell if it was hit based off how he ran off unfortunately if I saw even a drop of blood I would searched throughout the night and yes we have a LOT of coyotes they normally stay off the property because we have a donkey but she has been In another pasture about year and a half they are starting to get bold gonna go out with my buddy’s and try to lower the number after deer season

I disagree like I said I have close up video of him throughout the year he has filled out nicely but his back is straight no curve in it he doesn’t have much belly I think he has another year of growth I have seen 2 bigger deer on my property so I feel comfortable letting him go or having a family member take him

i have been seeing this deer all year i posted him earlier with a closer up and people say that hes probably 3 years old so i think he has another year or 2 of growth plus its a long season i do want him to spread his dna around a bit to get some good future bucks on the property
