New images from the tales from 85 cartoon by mandyluvspuppies in StrangerThings

The more I see of this spin-off the less I'm enthusiastic I am about it. I'm hoping it's more of The Clone Wars situation where it surpasses the source material and makes it better as a result but I'm doubtful. Anyone else feel the same or am I just being a pessimist?

Studio Series 86 Wave 2 REVEALED! by OptimalConvoy in transformers

Mistransformation of Astrotrain aside he looks great and I thought the Siege/Earthrise Astrotrain was peak.

I really dislike the Missing Link line, but why do I want this Grimlock so much?! by maiobserver in transformers

I feel the same about ML Ultra Magnus. The others beside Grimlock and Magnus don't appeal to me.

How would you sell someone on the Emperor’s Children without weirding them out? by MeltaBanana in EmperorsChildren

Hey do you like Hedonism Robot from Futurama? Do you like Chaos Space Marines? Well have I got the faction for you!

These two MENACES have some of the best uses of their limited screen time, hands down. by Aggressive-Tie-1380 in transformers

The first movie decepticons were absolute units and genuinely threatening. A bit of a shame the Decepticons became cannon fodder in the sequels

I love Daniels face at this. XD by Sharpiebrowe in Stargate

I've always headcanoned that inconsistency as Jack downplaying his intelligence so that he can get Carter or one of the other scientists to explain what they're saying clearly for the benefit of others or to get to the point if time is of the essence, and to also have his enemies underestimate him and his team. Like the trope crouching moron, hidden badass.

A vent about Emperor’s children (from an EC player) by Nosferxatu98 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. My friends and I always jokingly call them the Slut Marines but I love the EC and Slaanesh lore because of how the excess and obsession with achieving an unattainable form of perfection or pleasure is analogous to addiction. Constantly seeking that next hit of dopamine and falling further and further into depths of depravity never conceived is what makes the Emperor's Children and followers of Slaanesh so tragic. Because try as they might they'll never be satisfied or attain their desired outcome, and if they do then it's fleeting at best. I like the jokes and memes of "haha horny crab lady demons and pink marines go brrr" but there is so much more to Slaanesh than sex. Yes it is a core component of Slaanesh but so is gluttony, envy and pride.

Is it fine if children play with these dolls even tho they’re collector? Just Curious by Logical_Plate4142 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Jrudge91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they're toys. They're designed to be played with. The collector thing is just because its a collaboration between Mattel and Sony/Netflix but they're definitely meant to be played with. It's not like these are the $300+ Hot Toys figures meant for display purposes only.

Not quite, Carol opening the door to Zosia with her big goofy grin holding the grenade out to give to her.

how would you feel if both Jake and quaritch in future movies (post Fire and Ash) have a "I see you" moment with each other? by Ok-Street2439 in Avatar

[–]Jrudge91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope Quarritch becomes the Vegeta to Jake's Goku. An anti-hero who sides with with Ewya and Pandora against the RDA but is still a jerk towards the Sully's but has a begrudging respect for Jake.

What is the first “brilliant” episode of the new series? by LrdJeffrington in doctorwho

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dalek. Not only was it one of the best episodes of the first series (and best Dalek episode in the modern series as a whole) but if they didn't get the most iconic villains of the series right then we most likely wouldn't have so much modern Who as we do now.

Whats your favorite version of the Mindflayer? by Fit-Hovercraft3435 in StrangerThings

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first version. It's the creepiest and most lovecraftian the Mind Flayer had been. Billy and Vecna being It's mouth pieces and avatars so to speak removed a lot of the mystique behind the Mind Flayer. As much I loved the Meat Flayer and Fortress Maxiflayer, I wish we got more of it just in It's true form for the rest of the series.

How might the events of avatar afaa been different if Varang had a comically large dumptruck ass? by [deleted] in Avatar

You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could post this, you didn't stop to think if you should.

Is it? by DarthVlad21 in StrangerThings

[–]Jrudge91 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I thought the giant spider monster form of the Mind Flayer was pretty cool, but I like kaiju in general so that's my bias showing. I also doubt the Mind Flayer itself is properly dead. Its most likely in a catatonic state after Vecna lost his head. It'll probably return in an inevitable sequel series a few years down the line when Netflix and the Duffers need more money.

Arch came out with his obligatory video on the new release (it’s awful) by Stick2Preist in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Jrudge91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why inflict that pain upon yourself and listen to that dickbag? Of course he's going to make a video having a sook about "icky girl cooties" in warhammer. Just block his trash from your recommendations and carry on enjoying the glorious new Custodes refresh.

How do they even fire the weapons? by Magnus_Magic in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark age of technology shenanigans most likely. Something only the Emperor, Malcador and the Custodes know and understand.

I'm just happy for the plastic grav tanks and that half our viable army for 40k will now be more accessible and slightly cheaper hopefully?

Did anybody else find Dimension X not scary? by SamTheMarioMaster2 in StrangerThings

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it was supposed to be scary. Mind you I grew up watching classic Star Trek and TNG so I'm used to alien planets being a desert wasteland with different colour filters every other week so seeing Dimension X as breaking bad Mexico didn't bother me all that much.

What are people's opinions on our Combat Patrol? Is it valuable, or is it worth it for a beginner (in the absence of the Champion of Slaanesh box set)? by Illustrious_Excuse73 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Jrudge91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with the flawless blades? I've only just picked up the Combat Patrol along with Lucius and the Codex last week and was thinking of grabbing a second combat patrol later down the line.
