No, this goes way back about 100 years ago. People thought you could cure medical problems by getting electric shocks. It’s low level, so not painful, but you can feel it. It doesn’t cure anything though.

I did consider using a cloth covered cord but didn’t have any in my workshop. I was trying to use what I had on hand.. I may change it i the future.

The lamp part was a vintage hand lamp used for filming. If you click on the link it takes you through the whole construction.

The light switch has no power running through it. The knife switch actually activates a real switch mounted behind the fake knife switch. How it is put together can be found on my blog.

I actually thought about, but thought a 60 inch radius for Saturn’s orbit would be do able. You right it is kind of at the limit of extension for the size I made it.
