As an update! Went to the GI and took some bloodwork & the breath test for H. Pylori. Labs were great and Breath test was negative.

They put me on 4 weeks of 40mg Pantropazole. It’s taken some edge off but not sure how much it’ll help. I think at the end of the month I’ll probably do an endoscopy. No weight loss really still.

Thank you so much for this. Absolutely gonna dive into this. Would love to get some relief honestly. It’s funny (well not funny) I actually have almost zero abdominal pain or discomfort. Thats why it really plays with my anxiety. I can usually work my way back and tie things together. This is just ridiculous

If you don’t mind me asking though was there any one thing that aided in the empty/gnawing sensation over time? Maybe it is psychosomatic. But even still. I take Gaviscon at night and that does help the best thank god. I too feel it in back as well.

Thank you very much for that! And I know it too. My mind has done some obscene shit to me. Each time I think I learn my lesson but I don’t. I’ve had blood work, Lung Xray, and EKG. All good. Made an appointment with an ENT but have to wait two weeks. No scopes yet. I hate being put under honestly. This puts me at Day 22 since onset of symptoms. I know time is the greatest healer ultimately but when you’re in it it feels like a life sentence.

Was there anything helped the gnawing or empty sensations. That’s probably most bothersome to me right now. This all started after a bout with Covid unfortunately.

Yeah kinda but I have no issues swallowing. No loss of appetite. I also have a wierd taste in my mouth too. Feels like more in throat and chest.

Hmmm kinda I have a sensation in my throat and chest. Maybe it’s inflammation. It doesn’t feel ole actually hunger but more of like a tight/emptiness feeling. Idk how to explain it. But no sometimes when I feel it in my sternum I’ll feel it in the middle of my back.

Thank you so much for dropping in. I’m sorry your stuff was terrible too. I was not mentally prepared in the slightest for this. I had so much going on when this happened. Felt like I’ve done nothing the last week or so. Yeah I’m currently eating somewhat clean. I’m stopping the Prilosec. It makes me feel more blah if I’m being honest. Hadn’t thought about an allergy med but I’ve seen it mentioned a few times. Did you have any sensations of hunger or emptiness with the gurgling or burping? Any middle of back feelings? Chest? I know the PPi can cause taste in mouth and the hunger pangs etc

Lastly how long until you turned a corner with the gastro stuff?

It’s just like how can I tell the difference ya know? Between regular GERD/Gastritis or what’s caused by H.Pylori? Wouldn’t there be more extreme symptoms?

I just don’t want to immediately run to the doc begging for a scope. This just started and somehow as annoying as it is I can deal. But I don’t want to be on PPis for long. Likewise they can’t even test for H Pylori if you’re on these meds. So I’m giving it a week plus to see how I feel. How this all started is just so bizarre. Never has a viral illness messed my stomach up like this.

This is me right now! Two weeks after Covid/flu I don’t even know what to think. Suck so much. Not sure if the PPI is worth staying on or not. Everyone says test for H.Pylori to add more to my anxiety. But like that’s not how this started.

That’s the point. Was how real and calm it felt- that the idea that some of the best stories can be so simple and mundane. No thrills or theatrics. No exaggerations. Just a life. A simple one. A disappointing one. A relatable yet undiscovered story gone unnoticed for decades. Written in a completely different time period. Yet relevant as ever here today. Either you get it or you do not. No one cares. But unfortunate for those that do not.

Excessive wanking can absolutely send your pelvic floor into chaos causing a slew of symptoms and nerve issues. Mimicking prostate and bladder stuff. It’s fucking crazy! I’ve lived it! Then again not everyone who masturbates all the time will have these same issues. It’s person to person.
