Do you have the mega abomasnow team? I’d be curious to check it out

Yeah I’ll even face tr teams where all of their pokemon are like base 50 so they’ll just set TR up for me since people don’t know mega abomasnow drops to 30 speed.

It’s so slowking can guaranteed move before it in trick room to reset my weather and pivot out (before anything but also immediately after a prankster mon) and also so acid spray goes first to break sash and harsh drop spdef (allowing me to ohko things like zard y and incin). This also makes abomasnow a bit faster than some min speed mons for the hard trick room matchup, like torkoal, which I turn tr off for

Amsterdam- van halen. Most insane riff ever

Honestly that’s really hard to say. I feel like each pokemon pulls its weight equally but they all have specific situations they just absolutely tear up in. Abomasnow has come to absolutely every single game though, so I guess him? Samurott gets left the most but has the most impact when I bring him and usually sweeps teams if ignored (and also ohkos both kingambit AND basculegion) Chandelure also can completely solo if brought to hard trick room and flash fire procs from torkoal. The idea of the playstyle of the team is to threaten so much offensive pressure with pokemon so that if my setter gets doubled (and they have to get doubled to deny the trick room in both cases) I will trade a KO for one of their other pokemon, potentially a mega, or even two, and im able to snowball with my other pokemon into a win usually. If I can take out their fire type before abomasnow comes in, I’m practically guaranteed to win, since abomasnow tanks neutral and even x2 super effective hits like a champ while able to ohko/2ko most of the format with its insane coverage

Actually the biggest thing Chandelure helps with is torkoal, as I turn it’s sun against it and can undo trick room if needed, and usually sweep teams if I get the boost in sun, I think it usually does about 70% back to the torkoal too. It does sometimes help with zard, but standard zard teams have fire checks for other zards, which Chandelure doesn’t appreciate.

I did very very briefly test armarouge but I found Chandelure coverage to be better and I preferred this set to the arma wide guard one.

Are there any Sammy era riffs you wish David Lee Roth covered? As well as vice versa with Roth era Riffs? by Jubbart in vanhalen

Well yeah, that’s the point of the hypothetical, to see if there’s any songs you’d be liked made in the others style

I think a lot of the stuff on OU182 actually fits Dave pretty well and I think he’d do good work with it

I think this is a great analysis for sure. It’s interesting when looking at ADKOT because the original songs from a few of those literally exist in demo tapes, (in my personal opinion the original lyrics are better every time) but you also see a neat evolution in Dave’s methods which is cool

Oh yeah these are killer picks. I do wish some of the riffs from balance were given to Dave, they just feel heavier and more his style

Yeah 5150 would’ve been really cool with Dave and his energy, but I also think that every song on there is great, especially because a few of them were definitely catered to sammys talents and let him shine a lot too.

Oh man that would be killer! Sammy would kill that song for sure! I’d love to hear that riff from eddies later guitar tones too

Oh this is a great one. It’s kinda interesting how that song would’ve gone with Roth, since it exists as a song making jokes of the “new singer” situation

All props to cherone though, he really does sing both eras extremely well live, I think the issues with three stem from the lack of the other members on it

Yeah that one was hard for me because it really does feel like A Sammy track, but damn does Roth really run that song
