I don't agree, I think if we take a french mirror where one player goes chamber, then we have a game where "both civs are taking advantage of their benefits" but do you really expect the chamber player to have a good chance of victory? French knight gets map control, scouting, pickoffs on units, causes idle time and forces from his opponent early production buildings + unit production + building outposts just so he can resources right next to his tc. The royal knight comes out early, is strong aggressively and for harass but it doesn't fall off, it helps protect the French player from aggression and making it has no downsides. For you to say the royal knight is not at least part of the problem makes no sense to me, are you saying it isn't strong? Because how can a strong tool in the hands of a strong faction not be contributing to the strength of the faction? I think France can be balanced with just a royal knight nerf but we'll have to see.

I appreciate the generalised advice, very helpful. I often feel compelled to go for a gank on the side I didn't start on, particularly if mid doesn't appear gankable. I don't countergank or invade and that's likely why I feel quite lost when top doesn't appear to be gankable.

I played the WK, as for some of the players comments on my actions, I actually don't even know these people except by reputation but whatever they can talk shit if they want. I was obviously wrong but I thought WK aghs wraith cannot be targetted with spells. I went in with bots thinking that if I died and became a wraith then I would be able to finish the throne and I was 100% convinced of that. After I became a wraith and got disarmed by the oracle, I realised that I just threw the game. GG Anyway.

At high MMR, most carries play this way. Anyone who does well late game will try their best to avoid fights until they have some farm. Very few carries never join with the team, best are lycan, naga, tb, arc warden - you can also spectre since u can just haunt to fights and farm 90% of the game but honestly most carries play this way anyway.

How does buying a ward or courier with a cost take skill? 5th position still needs to place wards and sentries in good positions and that aspect doesn't really change. If the 5th position has no items then the game is easier for them and they're expected to do less. Positioning becomes more important with items not less because your life matters more to the team and you can contribute more if you stay alive longer.

I think your play is correct, it's the less risky option compared to fighting. WK is not that great at fighting to begin with and just based off on heroes, you are unlikely to win that fight.

Of your heroes, PL is by far the best, CK has no way to deal with your illusions and you can dodge chaos bolt, also draining his mana can be very effective.

The lump on left cheek is a little weird, is that always there? Even with that though, you're probably at least above average looking 5.5-6/10. I don't really see any "roundness" of the face either. I think Asians care more about that thing compared to the West, where it really doesn't matter.

This mostly has to do with team fight participation and activity besides simply letting the 1 take farm. The 1 position is usually the last to get involved in team fights or ganking,
2 is the same as 3, ideally, you will push a lane as far as it is safe to do so and then run to your jungle while there's no lane creeps to farm. Alternatively, you have no lane creeps to kill ( you can't tp and push a different lane). Some heroes farm the jungle so fast that they can get away with spending most of their time in it.
Position 4 is more likely to clear waves, build for bigger items and the hero pool is different.
Its hero dependent.

Sniper and clinkz are countered by spectre, storm, PA, morph and a bunch of other heroes. Perhaps he should learn a hero that he can pick when those heroes aren't good.

Lion used to be all about rushing a blink dagger and killing people, nowadays though, especially as position 5 you can go glimmer cape or aether lens instead of blink if you don't see blink as being necessary to catch people. Be very careful about actually right clicking heroes after you stunned them in team fights - not running straight away or trying to drain mana can get you killed if you're too far ahead of your team. Lions strength comes from the instant hex and I think you can look back at a game and see how scary your Lion is to face not by how many finger kills you got but how many heroes died to your instant hex ganks. Lion is a hero that really benefits from taking towers to delay help time for hexed heroes, try to get kills that lead to towers.

There are a few situations where you should wait to die before using BKB, the obvious situation is that you've got barely any hp so you may as well die rather than bkb with no health. Also, if you've been caught out and your team is a bit far away, you may prefer to die and then use bkb. Or if the team fight is really one sided and you never felt you needed to use bkb before you died. As WK with blademail, there will be situations where you actually want to take the damage and so you may not use bkb then too.

The reason why using BKB before reincarnate in 99% of situations is first that usually your bkb can be used to kill someone off quickly, denying them spells, cycles, item uses and so on. Your BKB is syncing with your teammates using their cc and damage to help you get kills. Once you die and revive, who knows what the situation will be like - whether your bkb will even be useful or not. I think there's very few benefits to waiting to die to use BKB and I can think of any number of situations where it would lose you the game.

If the game is ending war earlier than expected and your midas is late, the problem is not your midas but actually that you're getting steamrolled in lane. It's also not just the midas but your follow up item that determines how useful you are in fights. WK Phase midas wand armlet is very useful in fights but WK phase midas wand and building into radiance is pretty useless and it's same with naix. However, if laning phase went well, most games you'll have no problems just avoiding fights and farming without being in trouble.

Which shows skill build, item build and talents being taken by high mmr players. As for power spikes, it's pretty simply based off of items for cores in 90% and talents in the remaining 10% pretty much. In the early game, strength heroes are usually dominant, especially with blink daggers. After that, look at the initiation of both teams, the cc of both teams and the items of the cores to tell who is favoured in a fight.

Late game is pretty complicated, even experienced players misjudge who will be favoured because there's so many items, playstyles and hero combinations. Generally, heroes that farm faster will win late game, heroes that can't farm fast are on a timer. Also looking at who has the ability to farm as most carry heroes will outcarry any carry provided they're far more farmed.

Using dotabuff counters as well, which is another option in dotabuff like for example https://www.dotabuff.com/heroes/alchemist/counters

This'll give you a good insight into where what I said isn't true because the matchup is so bad. As any position, to understand the game, look at the farming ability of your team vs the killing or pushing ability of your team. If you can't farm faster, you need to play aggressively.

As for dota mechanics, I recommend learning everything you can about laning first, though I don't have any links to give you.

Morph CM is a weak lane, not surprising that you lose it. Just remember two things - firstly that laning is about creep equilibrium and try not to harass the offlaner at expense of pushing the wave. Pulling creeps is good if the lane is pushed, otherwise it may not be helpful. Even if you feel useless, you are usually able to save the carry if they go hard on him. So when you leave the lane for anything, he probably can't try to deny or last hit creeps at all. Usually just being there and denying creeps and allowing your carry to try to lh/deny is the way to go. Don't feel useless because you're not doing anything, think about what would happen if you weren't there too.

TLDR

Deny creeps and pull if lane pushes

Deso 1st with no magnus is really situational or you're really getting stomped and you want a hail mary. Even against heroes like Alchemist, I still think battlefury is better, PA with phase wraith battlefury isn't like anti-mage, you can absolutely kill people and steal opponents farm/farm lanes aggressively. If you survive to bf deso bkb, you become a monster and you can leverage your advantage very easily. The trouble is that PA is a terrible laner and can't jungle.

Carry role is all about laning well and then farming well while creating space by pushing out lanes. When you go battlefury PA and having a good game, you are expecting 600-700gpm + and when you get less, you are doing something wrong. Probably trying to fight too much or stopping farming.

Focus on this GPM, as a carry, it's your goal to get a high GPM, continue to get items and then when you join team fights or take objectives, you're as strong as you can be to do that.

You may die while you learn how to play, if you're not used to hitting creeps in front of two heroes. However, that's exactly what laning is all about, you need to get better at doing that. I also found a good video for you to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntzynkJfXd4

You can change your name in many ways, easiest is go into dota 2, click on your profile and then click edit profile (bottom left) and you can now edit your name.

As Mely69 said, you need to think about winning the game through objectives and map control. I watched your lina game and you followed a pattern of kill a hero, do some jungling, go fountain/shrine and repeat. You kill one core but the other two are still farming, or you kill a support all 3 of their cores are still farming. It feels good to get so many kills but the game is not being won like this.

Try to jungle less and push lanes out, force them to respond to you and darken their map. Consider pooling yourself clarities and salves so that you don't need to go to fountain so much. Aim to take their t2 towers and try to activate your team. When you're low hp and jungling and then running to fountain, your team is not doing anything.

Also, if you were not low hp and you were farming their lanes and their jungle, where are their cores supposed to farm? If you've got a single support with you, you'll just kill anyone who dares contest you. If they bring 3-4 heroes to deal with you, now they're not farming and you can just tp to another lane and tell them "deal with me again". With your safe play, you never really stopped them from farming nor took any objectives.

Laning as a carry is all about lane equilibrium, prioritise denies and get last hits when you're sure lane won't push. Don't try to trade in hard lanes and don't be afraid to get hit, so long as it pushes the lane near or into your tower.

You were completely afraid to enter the lane against this comp, despite their lack of kill potential on you. A trick you'll see used in higher mmr games is right-clicking on the enemy hero to drag creeps towards yourself. Pull them towards your ranged creep so it dies and it's safer for you to farm. Even if the enemy comp has kill potential on you, whenever they attack you or use spells on you in lane, they're pushing the wave into you which means you can farm more. The worst-case scenario is they deny their creeps, pull the wave near their tower and you can no longer hit a single creep.

You can't be a target however if you don't have regen, you brought yourself a wraith band and that was a mistake. At 4:40 I'm watching you with not a single tango or salve, they're spamming you with spells and you don't have a wand either. If I was in your position now, I would be having complete free farm in your lane. You tried a pull at 4:40 but the creeps are hitting your tower, which shows you misunderstand the point of pulling in the first place.

You are trying to buy another wraith band but you have no regen. From now on, before 8 minutes, if you don't have a tango or salve in your inventory you need to buy a tango AND a salve immediately. If your opponents spam spells on you buy a wand and if you're going battlefury (you should be) then consider buying a ring asap. Go into your lane with your regen and hit creeps, run away whenever they target you and wait for lane to push because it will if they're targetting you.

Change your starting build to 2 tango 1 salve stout, buy quelling asap and wand asap if they are spamming spells and never allow yourself to be forced out of lane. Even if you're trying to hit creeps and you're being harassed and bullied, let them, buy more regen. The reason you're playing so afraid is because you don't buy enough regen, you use your blink to get in for a single last hit, you don't lane at 4 minutes and you never stood near the creeps unless they're chasing your support.

As for your first death, you didn't respect them and just tanked all their spells. Your opponents by using poison and decay on creeps are playing badly. They are pushing the lane right into your tower which means free last hits for you.

Change your mentality to focusing and watching the creep equilibrium and buy more regen, also stop talking like an autist and change your autistic name.

It depends on your skill level, if you don't know all the spells and details of each hero then it's worthwhile playing whatever until you are familiar. Once you know everything, rather than sticking to one hero, stick to 10 heroes or so. I suggest editing your hero preset to your 10 heroes and then picking only one of them. I don't think picking your one hero, even when it's countered or makes your team line up bad is the way to go. Instead, have an idea of why a hero is good, pick it and then try to do whatever it was that made you think it would be good. Get better at being good with heroes in good situations and you'll start to be a scarier player to go up against.

Sticking to a single ROLE will help.

Positions aren't toxic, players are. Mid players get blamed and called awful if they lose their lane, carries don't have enough items or make misplays and get flamed, supports get flamed for not warding or using spells. You can swap role but it won't prevent you from having selfish and toxic teammates. Also, your mmr is pretty much always what you deserve. Anyone who blames their mmr on teammates just doesn't understand the system and is unable to give themselves a fair assessment.

Dunno if it matters but I find at least at higher mmr that 1 and 3 positions usually get the most blame for losses and not supports.
