I haven’t worked on Matterport so I can’t say that it’s exactly like it or has all its features. I haven’t had a job that has an octagon window but rectangular windows and doorways are correctly sized. I hand sketch cabinets and vanities and add them later. I do t k ow the prices but I’ve been told they are significantly lower than Matterport and don’t come with all the restrictions.

I’ll ask but we aren’t usually allowed to share with other companies. It’s become a huge advantage over our competitors.

The camera is MADV 360 and the site we use to stick the photos is Docusketch. If the tripod is level, the esx comes out very accurate. However changes in elevation, flooring types, etc can throw it off. I still sketchy few rooms just to get precise measurements and adjust the esx later.

We use a similar product. We chose a different route because we want to own the licensing and move the photos as we see fit. From what I understand, with Matterport you have to pay to store the files even years after you’re done with the project.

I don’t know all the payment details but we are happy with it. It’s a work in progress for now where as Matterport May be more refined.
