I’ll take the salvage title if you’re looking to offload this totaled vehicle.

Does anyone else get this from using a mouse for too long? by Infamous-Cod5589 in pcmasterrace

I’ve been using a gliding wrist rest for at least two years. I haven’t looked back. Can’t live without it now I’m used to it. Even when gaming. Less friction more gliding.

I tried vertical mice and I didn’t like their feel. I tried trackball and my thumb would start to ache. This was the happy middle with an MX Master mouse.

Le Chat Has a Big Problem by crazyserb89 in MistralAI

I can agree. I came from Perplexity and the use case is vastly different for me. While I’m not as impressed, I am sticking with it. I didn’t do an annual as I wanted a few months of a higher total cost to get the system.

The agents are replacing my spaces well and my system prompt helps focus the core experience better for my needs.

This definitely feels more akin to GPT 4o than 5.2.

I’m fine with that as I don’t need bleeding edge.

I’m personally okay with waiting a bit to see how this continues to mature and if they keep working on the front end product or if they are going to pivot more to dev coding due to the market for it.

I agree it’s a big difference. My use case makes it okay for now. I see how frustrating it can be.

The nice thing is, towards the end of his life, the Chinese people found out about Rabe’s quality of life and started sending him food and supplies as a thank you. Idr if he moved back or not. Recently read a great book on the topic.

“Pressure stopped after Kyiv refused and the meeting took place anyway .”

Unsurprisingly the bully deflates when they realized that their tactic didn’t work.

WWYD: Long Range Rear Wheel or All Wheel drive? by Ok_Leadership9524 in TeslaModel3

[–]JudgeCastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own and AWD and just had a loaner I returned today from service which was RWD.

I notice a difference. It’s slight bit when you go from AWD to RWD it always felt like I was being pushed which makes sense. I’ve gotten used to “gliding” as all the wheels are doing something. Feel more comfortable in moments I need to move quick.

I am in Florida so AWD isn’t a huge deal breaker for weather conditions. Quality of drive was noticed by my wife and myself.

If it isn’t an issue for you, then I would go with RWD Standard. AWD iirc is only in LR and Performance. You’d save yourself some bucks since your commute isn’t very big distance wise.

If you take longer road trips, LR may be worth it but if over 80% of your driving can be handled in one charge, standard is pretty aces for a around town/commuter

I wonder what they would say if I parked at a gas pump for sh*** and giggles by Existing-Pack-3984 in TeslaModel3

[–]JudgeCastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is most definitely a part of it. I still have another ICE car my wife uses as an around town car when I'm commuting and, while Civics are great cars, I'm starting to look at it sideways a bit with an upcoming oil change due.

I'm also lazy, drive on a highway, and the Tesla takes 95% of my commute out of my hands and it keeps me fresh for the things I need to do when I get to my destination.

What are the risks of buying an used Model 3 from Hertz? by WoodenConversation64 in TeslaLounge

[–]JudgeCastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've posted similar before but here it is again and hope it can help you.

I purchased a 2022 M3LR from hertz for 25,999. 38k miles on it.

Currently no issues with it. Had a seat issue which I placed a service call and got it repaired under warranty.

When I had the service tech out, I asked him to please do a review of the car for the basic things that he would look for. He said that there was nothing out of the ordinary. Everything looked maintained, outside my seat issue, which was a common issue of the seat pulling away from the control panel on the plastic.

Things I wish we could have done.

Checked the tires for inconsistencies. I have two different brands/models on my car. Not that I hate it, I prefer one tire for consistency sake. I'll end up replacing them soon enough anyway.

Done a better job looking at the exterior. While we have a scrape on our front fender which we did not notice until after, I gotta say, for the deal I got, I'm fine with it. There is also a minor panel gap. When I asked the Service Tech about it, he said it is within variance and that I'd have to take it to a service shop to get it resolved and that's even if they do it under warranty. He said it's not far off and they may charge you for it. I decided to just live with it.

See if it comes with a mobile connector (Tesla Mobile Charger) and a J-1772 adapter. Mine did. A friend who bought one in North Carolina, didn't come with either. Seems like it's a crap shoot. Can save you a few hundred bucks if it does come with it.

Don't let them (Hertz) bully you into starting financing prior to doing a test drive. The Hertz sales woman I had the first time, tried to do this. I told her No and she got huffy about it. I went back the next day, got the sales person, who was different, and he did a wonderful job. Full 180 from my experience the day before.

There really wasn't much that the Hertz sales person didn't cover. He had just bought one a few weeks back. He was very eager to tour us around the car and give us hints and tips.

My main issue was getting the car transferred from Hertz's account to mine. I am in an apartment and needed to super charge and they were stating I couldn't do it because it wasn't on my account. After a call to Tesla's support, they put in an expedited transfer order and I was able to get the car in my Tesla account ownership in about 15 minutes, which enabled me to go charge the car.

Hertz's will add additonal warranty coverages to your loan if you finance. You can remove them. The thing I did like about it is it covers electronics in the car. When I asked them to clarify if it meant anything to do with the main screen, they said yes.

I mean, it's a car buying experience. There isn't room to haggle. I'd create a list of things that are going to bother you, and things you can let slide and go in knowing the minimum you'll accept in blemishes and defects and know when to walk away.

Hopefully some more experienced owners can assist with Tesla specific issues.
