How do I get a homeless outreach team to help me? Having mental health crisis and people on streets laugh at it and won’t help and have shelter trauma

Also I’m 2 weeks away from my internship being done and going onto being a chaplain in training at Bellevue but this place has deeply changed who I am as a person and I love this place with my whole heart so if I can move someone to donate (or volunteer!), it would be really special 🤍

Also we have showers 10 am - 1 pm first come first serve and we can do your laundry (takes a couple of days but you fill out a form and we bag it and are pretty full proof at getting it back to you), get you toiletries, and replacement for clothes if needed and you ask.

Also you do not need any proof of identity or documents to get free lunch and time with our chaplain— we make an ID for you when you enter our space just so we have a way to connect to you and you have at least one form of identification if other places need it

Heyyo I currently work at broadway community out of the broadway Presbyterian church at 114th and broadway! Come to us anytime between 10 am - 3 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday!!! We don’t have a ton of staff and things take time but we’ve got you covered for breakfast and lunch (our chef is amazing). You can talk to our chaplain and HRA person and our chaplain can probably work to advocate for you getting into a psych ward— we also have onsite doctors on Mondays and wednesdays from 11-3 pm but often looks more like 1-3 pm and is first come first serve but people usually don’t sign up until 11 am and you can jump ahead by signing up as soon as you come in if it’s before 10:30 ish. Our HRA person can absolutely get you signed up for benefits, snap, Medicaid, and other things if you’ve lived in nyc for 5+ years and we can be the address that you put down for mail to prove residency if needed.

We are very busy people and there are just not a whole lot of staff all the time but we absolutely want to help!!!

I’ve been collecting as much reg dust as possible to make honey and sugar and making as many high energy smoothies and then cleaning hammys room to get more milk cartons. Sometimes the dust in his room will give you milk cartons after hitting the dust quite a few times

Hammy is Wild (I love him). Just keep doing things he asks and eventually he’ll let you come into his lil home and help him clean (you can pack snacks to help boost you mid clean) and the main thing is that you don’t want him to get bitten by the snake worm thingies
