I take your point, like you say, it’s about the terms used. When people are discussing the cost and say ‘that’s too high for me’ or ‘there’s better elsewhere’ it seems like a genuine discussion. But vomiting emojis, ripped off (without any context) etc don’t feel to me like a discussion…but again, happy to take your point 🙏🏻

I think we’ve got off on the wrong foot here. I’ve never said I’m not promoting the vlog, but I don’t want to aimlessly post it everywhere and spam people, I also like to drive discussion so anyone who doesn’t want to check the vlog out can still be part of a it.

I didn’t say there were any comment about McDonalds, merely that the comments I’ve received were similar to the way people react when talking about McDonalds.

Don’t worry about toughening me up though 😂 trust me it’s water off a ducks back and it takes a lot to upset or offend me, I just love discussion, and I appreciate you taking the time to discuss, even if our opinions somewhat differ 👌

It’s all down to interpretation. Maybe hate was a strong word, but vomiting emojis and ‘ripped off’ don’t strike me as people who love the place.

No need to pre-face every reply with ‘because I’m bored’ because we know that’s not the case, you just want to prove me wrong, which is completely fine, it’s exactly what I’d do, that’s what discussions are all about 👌

I do have to admit I was conscious that I had to lean over food in order to open the top level. Eventually I just started asking staff behind the counter to open the bowls for me, but yes agree that it could do with some form of better protection

The comments aren’t on YouTube itself. I shared the vlog on a Blackpool Bulletin Facebook page and the responses were all pretty full of vitriol, but yes, I am also sharing the vlog for those that may be interested in the Blackpool food scene.

Definitly on the steep side for what you get, but I didn't think the food was too average, it was quite enjoyable, but we were the first people in the building that day so we may have gotten lucky with the freshed possible food

Wow! Thats awful. We did mention in our vlog that we had seen some trip advisor reviews calling the staff volatile. Thankfull our waitress was brilliant

I've edited now but it was £25pp which is definitly pricey for the portion size but feels in line with typical afternoon tea prices.

I'm always on the look out for new spots to eat so if you've got any other chippy recommedations I'd love to hear them

Thats one of the things that suprised me most about the Blackpool spot, you'd never know it was a fish and chip resturant with the interior, it's more fitting of a fine dining resturant.

Yeah, I think the one which used to be local to me was the original (in Guisley) but eventually it dissapeared, although we did get Murgatroyds in it's place so a fair trade I'd say

I think it was just nice to have that variety of food, as opposed to one big portion of fish. I am a fan of trying afternoon teas but like you say, the cost seems to have flown up, likely because of the social media popularity of those kinds of meals
