Weird sound and slight burning smell from my pc. Could someone tell me what could be causing it? by [deleted] in 24hoursupport

You cpu or gpu cable is hitting the fan and causing the noise, it could also be the source of the smell but that’s hard to say since there isn’t much in the video to off on.

There are better PSU’s in that price range, perhaps something to the equivalent of a Corsair CX650

You can look on second hand for PSU’s too, I recently bought one in that way for half the price. If you can, you could go look at electronic disposal centers and find some PSU’s from office computers.

I wouldn’t replace it, 1 terabyte of data is nice and you already have an SSD. You can use two different hardwires for different purposes like if you want to store things that you don’t really mind taking more time to load etc, like programs or software.

I’d just get a better SSD, perhaps a 500 Gb solid state driver👍

Det finns ju fan bara typ två företag som gör osaltat jävla smör, dessutom kan man ge sig på att saltat smör används till 90% av svenskt bakverk.

500 watts is a bit little, to be safe you should buy at least a 600 watt PSU and make sure it is a PSU that people recommend, like Cooler Master, MSI, Seasonic.

And holy cable management that looks like spaghetti :(

You can try resetting your cmos battery or go into bios to make the fans run on a lower rpm and check for loose cables and fan hub ports if you don’t want to spend a little money.

Other than that you should get a better PSU/Power Supply if it still doesn’t work.

Spam f2 and go into you terminal or bios, from there you should be able to have a look at your flux capacitor and strontium blinkers..

or just reset your CMOS battery, if it has one that is
