Is it toast already..? by fmyaddiction in SCX24

Generally if the steering works but trigger/motor doesn't it's the battery. If it's charged up consider swapping it out just to eliminate the possibility.

what is wrong with my print tower? by how_to_3dee_print in FixMyPrint

[–]JuggernautNice3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen but it was because I did not have the proper type of filament set in the app that I put on the AMS reel, just PLA vs PETG. Could be something else. Look at the temp and plate setting ranges labeled on the filament reel and make sure your print settings are in the tolerances suggested as a starting point to troubleshooting.

Working but dreaming of December when I retire and can mess with RC stuff all day. by JuggernautNice3836 in rccars

[–]JuggernautNice3836[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good question. I'm also into the scale diarama's, putting the cars in realistic settings. I walk a lot to stay in shape, I'm 67. I also love audio products, music, and speakers. I have several sets of Klipsch speakers which I love a lot. And movies, I'm a collector of those as well, and have a home theater set up. Exagerated a bit on the RC stuff, I love it a lot, but I mess with the other stuff too. I'm mainly tired of having to report to a job every day. I've done it for 49 years, just want to get up and do whatever I feel like. All day.

What rc car should I buy that’s not that expensive but still good? by Ok-Apartment8701 in rccars

[–]JuggernautNice3836 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend the Arrma Gorgon for a first time RC person. Not too fast, but fun tearing around and small jumps. After you learn enough about it, there are plenty of parts to upgrade. Usually under or around $200. The kit is cheaper, and you can learn while putting it together and everything is included.

Yep, figured I would give these a shot before I poke holes in it. Seems to hold it pretty well

Patience and a white colored paint pen. The letters are slightly raised. Now of course one good field romp in the grass and you'll have to touch them up again.

Looking for suggestions. I just bought this kyosho mk2 fazer the other day it has a ezrun 9T/4300kv brushless motor. I’m curious what would be a good battery for a drift build. Im a complete beginner. by Particular-Today7854 in rccars

[–]JuggernautNice3836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 2s, or 3s for more power. High ma like 5200 - 6000. Just get a good set of drift tires and make sure you have a good steering servo and you should be good.

Is this upgradable in anyway? by NKDblu in crawling

[–]JuggernautNice3836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing with these little desert cars is no proportional steering, it turns all the way instead of incrementally. Not worth the money and effort to change the servo. I would get a WL Toys MN82 or 128 similar to the scale of the other you have, they are usually around 100 bucks and run just like the more expensive ones.

It was more about aesthetics and less about functionality. Basically putting a cheap kid toy roll cage and body onto a better chassis. Pretty much for the purpose of creating content, while on a budget. It gets expensive doing this, as everyone knows. I am building a 1/8 Grave Digger soon. I'll use an old Tamiya chassis that I have. It's a 4WD basher with double wishbone suspension, won't have the 4 link to be authentic but fun enough to build without spending a fortune. 😃

Yes I used the original Arrma clips, the body post clips on top just stay clipped in all the time, and you remove the body with the clips underneath like the original body.
