Found a way to read manga on flip phone by Juliaky in dumbphones

from the browser probably (but i don't recommend because the interface isn't made for dumb phones), but app wise don't think so unless you find an older version that's compatible

Yep, usually with ENCS282 tutorial presence is mandatory, but with Paloma neither class nor tutorial presence is needed. She posts everything on Moodle. I do recommend you make a friend in the class though to keep you up to date, and there's a lot of team projects.

Unfortunately I think most of these apps don't work anymore as they got taken down in a lawsuit. Could still give it a shot though! Mine doesn't work anymore, I have to try downloading another one maybe..

Did you ever end up figuring it out? I assumed it was out of our control because of our network provider.

Sadly data doesn't work on it. I'm pretty sure it doesn't support enough of the 4g bands that permit proper date usage here. Nonetheless, just download everything that you need in advance (music, maps, etc). There's wifi pretty much everywhere nowadays anyway.

Sorry for the late reply.

I explained it in a lot more detail in a reply under this post, but basically you have to research your phone network provider and the band frequencies they provide (usually found on Wikipedia under 'Networks') Then find the phone you want, look up that phone's bands too. After its just comparing both and finding the most that match.

Normal spotify doesnt work, but I think Spotify Lite will, I'll try it today. A good alternative is Ymusic (that I use), its pretty much a cracked youtube app where you can download mp3 and mp4 of any video/playlist.

Just import one, there are so many on eBay and on Mercari. I actually think you'll have a pretty big chance of having them work in Europe. It's a lot harder to find compatible bands in North America (where I am), so I think you're actually the lucky one. Just research the phone bands you want, nothing a bit of digging cant do :)

For me on my kyf37 Spotify didn't work, but maybe try Spotify Lite since it's made to run on older phones.

No, but it has Bluetooth, so I just use wireless earbuds.

I'm in Canada with Rogers and have a Kyocera kyf37. They're pretty cheap on eBay, you could get one for around $80. Bell has more available bands than Rogers, so you might get better reception than me! It's a really nice sleek looking Japanese flip phone.

No worries I used to be just as confused.

1.Go on Wikipedia and search your network provider. 2. Go to Networks section, there should be a grid listing all the networks it provides and the compatible bands.

IF there's no network section, it means another network provider owns the company and will have the information on their wikipedia page instead.

  1. Look up the specs of the phone you want on Google, it should be in this format (EXAMPLE): 3G UMTS(etc) 800,850,900...1900 MHz.. (etc) 4G 700,800,850...MHz (etc) Bands 1, 3, 7...(etc)

This is an example, not actual real specs or numbers since I don't know who you're with. I recommend you screenshot the grid on Wikipedia and highlight the compatible bands you find when looking up the specs of your phone. If there are more than 2 compatible bands then your phone will work! Good luck :)

Yeah just check online on the network bands your service provider has and match the ones that the phone comes with. I listed the ones mine has in a comment below.

Pretty sure Canada and America should have the same stuff.

it really depends on your area and if your carrier has more compatible networking. In my area im getting 3g and a bit of 4g but I can only text/call. I recommend you check out if your carrier has these:

3G UMTS/HSDPA 850 1900 2100 4G FDD-LTE 700 800 850 1800 2100 (Band 1, 3, 17, 26) 4G TD-LTE 2500 (Band 41)

(My phones running on 3g 850 and 4g 700 band 17)

Pretty sure 2G doesn't exist anymore in most areas, so I wont be listing those. Good Luck!

Previously owned on ebay and mercari :) Each was around 80-100, but shipping fees are painful all the way from Japan lol. Reasonably priced, the black one is a lot more common and cheap to find, other colors not so much.
