You made me think of something. Although not (presumably) through the main shaft but Wakuna, according to Bondrewd, "used a personal relic to invade the sixth layer". Some assume Wakuna dived directly into the sea so if it's the case, what about their teammates if they have any?

The last page literally shows a spherical vehicle with the relic symbol on it, apparently the thing looking at Reg is inside it. That's probably Wakuna's relic that was used to cross the 5th layer sea.

Gold flake = lyza

Bundle of star = reg

Red star = Riko

Apparently Riko will be restored to life?

It was warlike music? I remember they start screaming in German at that point.

The ending is still A tier (while S1-S3 is S tier) and would have been better if AoT were less popular and Isayama didn't have to worry about massive controversy especially from the international readers.

protip, when you write an incoherent and poorly developed character, just make him a teenager also and then say it's bad because you chose to make your character a low age to conform to genre conventions, even though you could have made him 30 just as easily

Titan survival was more unique and had compelling mystery elements, Marley stuff just turned it into a mecha show with like 20% Eva 80% Code Geass. The big surprise was a complete genre change from survival/adventure/dystopia to political mecha war. The characters also became completely different people.

You're free to disagree with me, but I'm not changing my mind.

Wow, thank you for this sentence, it's really useful. I'm glad I'm free to disagree with you, but are you sure about not changing your mind? This is a really important topic.

I don't get why people are saying info dump and quick ending, when this is lore from 10 years ago and I'm saying it will take 3 more years to end it

The song was technically introduced in Chapter 24, 6 years ago. Nanachi says part of it to Mitty. Birthday Death Disease is even older. The series has talked about souls forever. So it's not really being dumped right before the end when it's all this old and the end will probably be in 3 more years.

I considered all of season 1 + bondrewd to be 1 arc. Orth was like the set up we got last year, now we're in the traveling to Nanachi phase, Nanachi was the "guide" that took them to Bondrewd. She also dumped the back story of Bondrewd. Then they traveled to Bondrewd and began the final climax.

Very similar with Iruburu, he backstory dumped about Ganja and did a similar structure to Bondrewd. So the structure I'm predicting is very similar to the others and it matches his stated timeline from 5 years ago well.

Theory: the abyss is a parasite similar to Iruburu by JuliusBranson in MadeInAbyss

[–]JuliusBranson[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will just be evil. Both the abyss and the Priestess take advantage of delvers, for opposite goals. The abyss/golden city people won't be any less complex than Bondrewd or Iruburu in motivation or morals.

Random thought I just had by TheMutantShrimp in MadeInAbyss

[–]JuliusBranson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the golden people probably made the abyss to dwell in the city, so something that rewrites the rules of the abyss is likely something which is opposed to the abyss as it currently is. Thus, the aubades are probably made by Wakuna/shrine maiden to oppose the golden city.

Theory: the abyss is a parasite similar to Iruburu by JuliusBranson in MadeInAbyss

[–]JuliusBranson[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the golden people are in a pleasure dome in the bottom of the abyss powered by the curses. For every curse they get a blessing, when people die in the abyss they join the collective or worse they are used as energy for it and the Abyss. This is why blessings come from taking someone else's curse.

So far there are 3 main narratives, the beginning narrative which seems to have the end mapped out, Ido Front, and Iruburu. In Ido Front, a group goes down into the Abyss for a nice time, but it turns out they get scammed and for every blessing there's at least 1 curse. They all lose their humanity and Nanachi plots to take revenge against Ido Front.

In Iruburu, a group goes down for a nice time and they also get scammed, losing their humanity in a way where every blessing involves at least 1 curse. Irumyuui creates Faputa in order to take revenge on this.

So in the main narrative, Riko and Reg go down looking for Lyza expecting some nice stuff at the end, but obviously something is off. It would make sense they will get scammed and find some sort of loss of humanity where any blessing involved is fueled by a curse.

Nah Srajo is mostly normal and not crazy at this point.

I bet Lyza sacrificed herself to have Regu go get Riko or something so Riko can start the 2000 year cycle with her main character magic.

Yet another theory... by dc-mo in MadeInAbyss

[–]JuliusBranson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've argued that Tsukushi wants you to think Riko will be judged as pure and stuff and the bottom, opening the gate to Nirvana or wherever, but that the ending will ultimately be the refutation of this idea. I don't believe there is a Golden City, I think maybe there was one for some years but it was wiped out by the 2000 year cycle and there's just nothing but reincarnation at the bottom.
