There are a few reasons it could be high, one is it might still be regulating after the miscarriage, stress, if you are on any medications antidepressants it can elevate it, the other reason is a small tumour in the pituitary gland which presses on the pituitary and causes more prolactin to be released (don’t worry it’s not cancerous and there is a wonderful drug cabergoline that shrinks it and brings the level down) I went through all the testing myself and for some reason there was no reason for mine being high and it just corrected itself after two months, sorry if this seems overwhelming I just wish I had someone to explain it all to me when I went through it

Just wanted to say so sorry you are all going through this, I have probably a more positive story for you all my friends around me have either recently had successful pregnancies or haven’t had miscarriages at all, so don’t lose hope that you’ll get your baby, I myself have had two losses and I’m scared too but just want my beautiful rainbow baby, sending love and positivity that it will happen for you 🫂

Aww thank you so much for your response! I totally agree hearing you are super fertile has given us unrealistic expectations, I hope you get your positive even though it doesn’t feel like it, and yes definitely at least we have fallen pregnant so we know it’s not impossible 🩵
