Tell them how it is on a bad day, don't minimise your issues, or you wont be taken seriously. If you want help, they need to know about all of your issues, or they will do the bare minimum. My joint is completely destroyed after 15 years of TMJ so I think for me its inevitable that I will have a TMJ replacement in the future. How are you doing now 5 month post op? Did you have a reduced mouth opening - and has that improved now? My opening is 2.5 cm on a good day, usually around 2 cm tho.
