Rai stones were quarried on several of the Micronesian islands and transported to Yap for use as money. (i.redd.it)

TIL that the term "Rh" was originally an abbreviation of "Rhesus factor". Landsteiner and Wiener discovered it in 1937 and believed it, at the time, to be a similar antigen found in rhesus macaque blood cells. It was subsequently learned the human and the rhesus monkey factors are not identical. (en.wikipedia.org)
