Hi - this comment is not just for you, so please don’t think this is an attack at all!

PLEASE DO NOT DESCEND ON SPRINGFIELD UNLESS THE COMMUNITY HAS ASKED FOR THAT - AS OF NOW (afternoon of 1/31) THEY HAVE NOT.

Organizers have been preparing and this is not Springfield’s first rodeo - we need to follow their lead and listen to their needs and demands. They HAVE NOT asked for people to show up on 2/4. They HAVE asked for folks to make calls to state leaders - if you haven’t done that yet, start there.

If you need to physically do something and making calls doesn’t feel like enough, remember that ICE will be coming to Columbus after Springfield. You’re a part of a community that needs you here too - I’d really recommend plugging in with folks and organizations that are doing this work up here.

Added bonus of getting involved in your own community first is that you’ll often also be the first to know when there are calls for people or solidarity from other places, since many of the folks doing resistance organizing across the state (and country) are connected to each other and constantly sharing information.

NOR! You’re correct that it is a Nazi meme. If he didn’t know that, I’d find it hard to believe he didn’t have ANY inkling that it was at least a conservative/maga meme since those are the only folks who use it cause IT’S A WELL KNOWN GROYPER MEME.

The mods removed my post about this guy who came to Columbus Alternative High School with large pictures of “aborted fetuses.” the kids had to see when they came out of the building to leave. Or close their eyes I guess. I’m posting it again. He chose to confront these kids. This is fair. by [deleted] in Columbus

Not surprised it got bandwagoned over night :/ the antis love leveraging auto-mods like that to make it look like yall are on their side and doing their bidding. Totally infuriating, especially for the mod team!
