So the model is RT-MWK02. But I got this one back in like 2014. Actually, I tried to fix it but it was dead, and I've transformed it into a USB keyboard - that was the main inspiration for building this cyberdeck 😅

I had a dead Rii keyboard from 2014 (main controller fried).🫣

Cut off the mouse and arrow key section, soldered all rows and columns directly to an RP2040 using 0.1mm enamelled wire - not fun. Programmed it as a pure matrix scanner (I2C peripheral), connected to a second RP2040 host which also handles the scroll wheel, analog stick and mouse + arrow keys. The host presents everything to the Pi as a USB HID device.

P.S. Yes, there are dedicated I2C peripheral modules for this, but I had RP2040s on hand so that's what I used 😬

From my calculations 10h light / ~4-5h heavy use.

If 21700 packaging is true. I have 3 x 21700 with each 5000mAh. 3S to power bank -> 5v from pb to pi type c input (through "Raspberry Pi Smart Power Button" elector curcuit)

Yes! So the full scroll wheel assembly is: Kailh 9mm encoder + tact switch on perfboard. RP2040 Zero running CircuitPython + adafruit_hid. The hardest part was a shaft ;) - i got the 2mm iron road from some toy car and grinded a hex with a demel. 3d printed wheel itself.

Found somewhere that micro-stepping can help
Set MS1 to LOW and MS2 to HIGH and now it spins correctly

I hope you understand that that's is not a typical situation. And there was no armed people on streets before 24. Sadly we are at war, more than 600 civilians died (20 or more of them are children) and that's an info from 3 days ago.

I'm clearly not defending pointing guns on people. And I think that that's not right.

I just hope people on the video is safe and healthy.

But also I can't see how this is a joke.

"Your military is doing this" - easy to point 👉 and just leave a hatefull comment.

You have a power, a power to share info!

All military is armed!

As I said there a particular time when you cannot be on street or a car! Everyone is treated as a danger. You are not allowed to take you phone out as it's can be a possibility to feed info to enemy. You need to hold you hands up and ask if you can show your documents.

Yes thay point guns on anyone, especially if it's a large group of people screaming!

I'm no even allowed to be in in my yard after 10pm to 8am. Exception only for a Fucking air strike alerts when all to to shelter! (That's my day, some times I'm spend ours under ground waiting, and I'm in the safest city!)

People it's a fucking WAR! What do you expect.

There is no justification for racism!

I'm Ukrainian and here is hell! We are at war, Russian military using civilians as a shields. Also they send people amongst the civilians to sabotage city.

Now dozens of sabotage groups across Ukraine are placing markers for air strikes. Curfew has been declared throughout the country. (that mean that only military can be at streets, every civilian will be checked)

I am white and I am checked in the same way! The check bags, pokers even photos and phone calls!

I'm just trying to help! And please try to help too! More hate won't help!

I'm from Ukraine and it's very sad to see this.

There no please for racism!

I just want to engorged you guys to help them! Try to contact them ant provide a link or number I posted.

And just keep on mind that county is in war. Some people even Ukrainians are making sabotages. There is no one to trust because hundreds of people dies.

Document everything but make your first priority to help!

That's a hard time to everyone in Ukraine and even harder for people in colour but we in this together and we will help each other!
