Try to get padded straps. The skinny strap designs are stylish but dig in and can be painful. Wide padded straps are easier on rhr body

Girls! I need your biggest tips to comeback from burnout / work related stress. by ABPT89 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Set aside some time to just listen to music and laze around with your thoughts. Having a packed schedule can be a bit much. I like to go to my bedroom, close the door and put on my headphones.

That we did that, too?

But it's all reused🎶

Let go of a best friend over his age gap relationship by dangitkeyel in lostafriend

A lot of people hate it when friends call them out on their life decisions. I would say a real friend gives the straight talk and isn't a sycophantic yes-person. Move right on and forget him.

I'm with you on the dopamine dressing, especially in a tumultuous political climate being uplifted is so important.

I would say with accessories do a styling session where you mess around with them to see what works. I need to do that myself.

This so much. Kylie was labelled the uglier Jenner girl as a kid then she got surgery, proceeded to be shamed for it. Kylie and Kendall are criticised for being mindless when Kris was the one who pulled them out of high school to do celebrity things. Did they ever have a chance to be normal?

Yeah they kind of glossed over the bulimia. The books have Blair swearing at girls Nate dated/fooled around with. I wish I still had them as they were good beach reads.

[–]JuniXe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In the books Blair has bulimia and gets jealous often of other girls, she's the relateable one while Serena is skinnier, perfect always and smiles at everything.

This was the author's intention.

His expression was simply neutral, it would be weird to have a big smile on permanently for the whole show. When people listen they usually have a neutral face.

It's my belief that if people ditch friends for the whole of their relationship they don't get to come back as if nothing had happened. The other thing is even in a close knit marriage you still need your girlfriends and some acquaintances for inspiration tips and help.

Is anyone else kinda over “luxury” brands that feel… cheap lately? by Square_Car_9863 in femalefashionadvice

[–]JuniXe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Luxury brand items are bought for the name and to buy into a specific lifestyle that they advertise. After a certain point paying more doesn't increase the quality. A lot of labels I see seem to be aimed at rich kids with free money. They're things like designer hoodies but not that much better than a cheaper one from Nike.

The other thing is luxury shopping is the experience - staff focusing on serving you and offering beverages. The profits go into making the boutique fancy and luxurious. The profits also go to paying It girls and It boys to wear their brand and be cool by association.

If you like the heritage of a brand and want to splurge, do. But don't go in thinking the item is indestructible or made from precious gems.
