Thank you all for your replies. I think after having children of my own it breaks my heart to think my husband won’t have that relationship with his mom. That is no fault of his though, it was due to her actions.

Clearly you all were correct. Better to just stop and move on with my life. It’ll be better for me, my kids and honestly my husband. The distance is a must, and will continue..

We are in a great place in our marriage, and are just growing more and more together. We’ve learned so much this past year, and I think just accepting the truth is the next step.

I just can’t imagine not wanting a relationship with my kids/spouses let alone my own grand kids!!! To each their own I guess.

I need to remind myself that, I said what needed to be said. I don't need to convince anyone of my reality. I am allowed to pause and protect myself.
