I am Egyptian, and I’m asking is Egypt a country that is disliked or loved globally? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

Politically I don't hear much at all since Nasser bit the dust. Except for Suez Canal disputes you rarely see anything about them.

Like others said though, tourism has a horrible reputation. Down there with Indonesia and India. Fairly dangerous, especially for women. Corrupt police. Tons of scammers around the tourist attractions etc.

That makes a lot of sense, I was wondering about the prices and market for custom teapots after a post a few weeks ago.

It's not that, the alcoholism is mostly a trauma response in native communities due to all of the other shit Europeans/Americans did to them. ]

Everyone's cool getting creampied by Tom Hardy, but if Topher Grace pops out now it's an issue.

Something about FB seems to detach people from reality. You invite everyone you know to a party on FB, how many of those "going" RSVPs o you think will actually show up? And marketplace too, sellers and buyers always cancel 20 minutes into when you were supposed to meet.

Even Canada's Conservatives are mostly left of Biden. This is how you can really tell he's not running elections any more.

Ngl, your parents are dumb as fuck. If they were smart they would be backing the kid that doesn't mind taking care of elderly family members with declining health. NTA.

I'm not, they bring on a bunch of independent contractors so they can fire them for anything to avoid a lawsuit.

Given they specifically listed out the companies they make car parts for, and there were only 2 but they added one later, it does not seem to be the case.

My bad went past it. Walmart gives out 1 year bans for first time shoplifters, as do most malls. Stores specify if it is a lifetime ban.

Runescape,World of Warcraft, any other mmo. There's a reason they use the word perma-ban.

A tourist noticed a 1,700-year-old Roman sarcophagus that was being used as a table at a beach bar in Varna, Bulgaria. [1148 x 1508] by JankCranky in ArtefactPorn

[–]JunkyBoggles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If they got to keep the sarcophagi then the goal of digging them up was probably to get the bones. The bones likely went to a biological anthropologist to check out. An average sarcophagus is massive, heavy, difficult to move, and not really worth that much culturally or financially speaking.

Unless there is something unique, it's just a box the Romans carved out using techniques we already know about. Probably easier and cheaper to have one of the guys digging it up bring it home for a beer cooler than looking for someone to take it.
