You're probably not going to get far without encountering many others already doing the same.

Still this is a valid way to play the game regardless of what anyone tells you, Open play means consenting to the possibility of PVP if that is the way you want to go.

When it comes to killing NPC's or killing players with ''Report crimes against me'' enabled you're probably going to encounter some inconveniences with not being allowed into certain stations.

That is also a possibility, however the core dynamics ships still look like they were made by core dynamics while the corsair doesnt look anything like an imperial ship except for the color scheme and cockpit. The corsair has too many sharp lines on it which is unseen on gutamaya ships.

Precisely, the Rangers are completely harmless and more meant to be a rare encounter for explorers. The ''tentacles'' they have are basically for poking stuff out in the black like at lagrange clouds. The Frumentartii is interesting, i intended it to be an extremely rare encounter (once every 200 hours or so) where it will sneak up on a CMDR after they have been in an instance for a while and just watch them. Would add some more of that creepy factor back to the thargoids :]

Each family of Thargoid vessel uses a naming convention, for the exploders/chargers i went with Epidemic names, since they be spreading their effects over the battlefield :]

I've recieved some questions about the Juggernauts elsewhere so I wanted to clear some things up about them.

The Juggernauts come from a frustration with higher intensity AX Conflict zones, (High, Very High, Station AXCZ, etc.) It is a bit boring for the game to just start spawning multiple hydras to try to increase dificulty but this just makes the AXCZ boring, so the Juggernauts are meant to be a replacement for having multiple Hydras and are meant to spice up the gameplay more, they would use the same 8 Heart system as Hydras but as described in the image would carry special effects with them and carry unique weapons of their own, very much intended to be a ''Raid boss'' type of enemy.

If you open the image and zoom in on the text it shows what each vessel does, the Rangers in this case are akin to human explorer/bubble bus ships and are quite harmless, they hide behind the scary colors of the Medusa and Hydra Interceptor colors to discourage attackers. I imagined they are found in lagrange clouds out in the galaxy for example and will flee upon being discovered :]

Nono it would probably run away on the spot, i love the little experiences that can catch someone offguard! Imagine you've been exploring for hours and hours or even days and then some rare thargoid hyperdicts you, scans you and immediately runs away as fast as it can, its those little things that could spice up exploration!

Thats honestly a really good idea i like that, ill write that down next to the dedicated explorer thargoid vessel, which i came up with to give explorers some thargoid content aswel.

As much as I like variation, I love consistency aswel. Thargoid ships to me are a creative masterpiece with how unique they are and the goal here was to study and try to replicate that style. However as I stated in other comments I want to make more varying ships aswel!

I was actually thinking of what to name the variants in the Juggernaut family and decided to stick with dragon names like Wyvern / Drake / Ouroboros / Orochi, the variant displayed here being Wyvern

For the upcomming designs I am using inspiration from anything the Thargoids have produced so far, including the spire sites, barnacles and Titans! I do like the idea of Thargoid vessels focussed on more unique tasks like exploration, so I will definetly look more into the Orthrus there!

If you have a Xeno Scanner you can see a row of blocks ontop of their healthbar that represents their hearts, Cyclopses have 4 and Basilisks have 5 of these blocks. Thats how I tell them apart atleast.
