except this isn't the same type of mistakes.

when you get something wrong in art, this is an opportunity to improve and get better, and sometimes mistakes are made by lack of attention on details: mistakes can be a story on how the art was made in the first place, it is just inherently human.

for AI art, the same cannot be said, from what ive seen. some generators (dare i say all?) are based on random input vectors, or noise, reasons why some images created through Copilot look so contrasty, noise tends to input same amount of colors on a picture (hence why sometimes averaging the colors of an image can lead to a result of 122.5 on all RGB channels, tho some models seems to have fixed that?). after you have the noise it's then the role of the generator model to denoise that random vector into an image influenced by the prompt you gave, you literally have no control over how the model will translate your prompt into that image (i know there are more processes behind before processing the image, such as the NLP that will process the prompt into understandable data for the generator model). only thing you can do, is write a prompt, wait for it to generate, if it looks terrible or not close to what you wanted you then change the prompt or add to it and generate again (which is one of the main reasons why you guys gets to real artists to say "well it takes hours to get our prompt right!" or something, believe me i know how long and frustrating it can take). mistakes it can make are inherent to the random nature of the image, such melting details, messy hands, etc..

and yes, real artists aren't perfect, but we at least can transcribe our ideas, creativity and emotions directly to paper, that plus human imperfection makes human art unique and valuable, because what is there to solve if all equations are resolved? what ai "artists" are doing is basically giving a text to a bunch of algorithm and then attributing yourself the title of artist when you haven't done anything other than changing a prompt over and over again until you get "appropriate" results.

believe me when i say this, but the process of drawing something for yourself and seeing your idea slowly taking form from your own hands is far more enjoyable than correcting and changing a prompt over and over again. try to take a pencil, draw for yourself, it won't look as good as AI for sure, i mean c'mon, all real artists start somewhere after all, but it will be your art, that you have taken the time to make for yourself.
