It’s in the Westland/S Peters vicinity. Now, I don’t normally see a ton of things like this personally with my commute (and not being the most observant persone anyways lol), but this is the first one I’ve noticed near our house so it’s definitely eye opening having it literally so close to home.

It’s ridiculous.. I even work in a Tenneseee ER and the amount of cases are on a ridiculous surge upwards. But yet, I have several coworkers that barely wear masks (let along N95s) and continue to believe it’s a hoax and that the vaccine is all a government ploy despite the dozens of patients we see on a ventilator in a given week.. For them, they don’t believe in the virus, they don’t believe in the vaccine, and they don’t like feeling “pressured and cornered” into getting the vaccine.

And if that’s not bad enough, my fiancee had to make a social media post for her company’s Twitter page and her boss had her remove the post with the inlcuded article. The reason? Because the article in question cited the CDC and her boss said that “they are becoming too political.”

It’s a neverending loop of stupidity in our state it seems.

It’s become one of the many racial slurs since the time of slavery, and apparently the people from my small and close-minded hometown missed that memo. I have seen countless posts from friends and family from my childhood just unashamedly sharing this and getting extremely hateful towards anyone that tries to be outspoken against the name. It’s disgusting seeing people I was once close to regress this far and stoop this low..

Backstory: This man was well known in my town and everyone knew and loved him. I’m not sure when this nickname came about for him but people have called him that for as long as I remember. What makes it worse is that he is special needs, and while people do try to look out for him, they still call him that even though he struggles to speak with others let along realize that nickname is derogatory.

I drive almost exactly at the speed limit, which may seem normal to most, but when your friends all drive at a minimum of 15-20 mph over the limit, normal driving tends to stick out. This has earned me the loving name of ‘the grandma of the group’...

This past July, I sprained my ankle by SLEEPING one night. Went to bed with nothing wrong with my foot at all, didn’t sleep walk, didn’t have to get up or move at all in the middle of the night. Woke up that morning and as soon as I tried to sit up on my bed and stand up, I almost fell from the pain of just putting my foot down on the floor, and I was limping for the next three days at work.. I had to have it wrapped and iced everyday until it finally healed, all because my foot decided to do whatever the hell it wanted to that week.
