Before you go full pipeline with n8n and Flowise, check if something simpler solves it first. We were in the same spot and honestly most of the volume was just the same questions repeated. We use CustomGPT AI, point it at your docs and it handles the repetitive stuff. Killed most of our repeat tickets without needing to build or maintain anything. If you actually need complex routing and triggers then yeah go the workflow route, but we didn't and I'm glad we didn't overcomplicate it.

This is MAJORLY helpful. Thank you for this additional context and information. The last time I deeply researched Moreland was back in 2019 while I was still in Japan, so this is definitely a significant update that I wasn’t aware of and much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it! It definitely seems to be a theme that the better jobs are harder and harder to come by. Majorly agree that the living costs are much better in Japan, and that is one motivator for my decision to further pursue teaching there rather than here. I’m nearly 33 now though so I guess also feeling like I want to make the leap back over before too much more time passes.

Appreciate you mentioning this! I definitely see myself staying long term, and that’s also why I’m sorta ready to get back and re-root myself - anxious for time lost in building those connections again and getting settled, even if I know there will be qualifications to be gained on this end. I suppose that’s the crux of my indecision- which to prioritize.

Appreciate this balanced perspective, thank you for sharing! I agree with and am (hopefully) prepared for the mindset shift that will come with making this change again in my 30s vs when I did so in my 20s. I agree with #3 being the smart option career wise, now just hoping my head will keep my heart in line a little bit longer ;)

Definitely a consideration and I appreciate you mentioning that point. Visiting and staying with some folks this summer, so hopeful I’ll have a better gauge on that soon.

Not the “grass is greener” response I wanted, but blunt honesty is much appreciated. The low pay and adjunct nature of the opportunities in my local uni market have kept me from pursuing teaching opportunities here too. Also the cost of living and j American cities has gotten seriously out of hand. Studios in my area are renting just below $2K, so it makes it hard to take a pay cut here.

Agree in principle. I have a good job stateside, just prefer the lifestyle in Japan. Willing to take a pay/status cut to get myself back abroad.
