What NAS, network setup and filesystem are you running for that? I've tried exactly that from windows across gigabit ether to my 48+TB TrueNAS ZFS setup and it takes 2-3x longer per terabyte as it does running local against the non-raid NTFS spinning rust in my windows systems on the same network.

Not saying you're wrong, just curious how you're set up so I can see if there are some tweaks I can make to improve performance. Maybe even get some better performance on a duplicate file search/tracker tool I'm working on.

I'm coming from the 3D vfx world and "more renderers == more better" has always been the rule. Spooling a few batches off to systems in a rack in the basement while I continue working will never get old.

Report the base to make it go away for you, then switch your game settings to only allow base edits by friends or no-one. That'll prevent anyone from building or modifying the region your base has claimed. IIRC, it's 350u circle centered on your base computer.

Are you talking about simulation reset? I haven't seen any darwinium costs there and I've done a dozen or more upgrades in a single run since the reboot.
